The Trip

Glenn and Tim went on a trip. On the trip Glenn and Tim slept, hit the ball and climb an elm. The trip was fun for Glenn and Tim.

On the trip Glenn and Tim slept in the tent. Glenn set up the tent. He was the best at the tent. Tim put the cot in the tent by the wall. Tim sat on the cot with his bag. In his bag he had a ball and a bat.

Tim and Glenn play ball. Tim can toss the ball and Glenn can hit it with his bat. The ball lands in the dirt. Tim ran to get the ball, but Glenn was first.

“Glenn can you toss the ball to me?” Tim asks.

“No, I can hit the ball to you Tim,” said Glenn.

Tim runs back to get the ball. He must run fast. Glenn hits the ball to him. The ball lands in a nest up in the elm.

The elm is old. It is tall.

“I can help” Tim said.

Tim climbs the elm to get the ball. Tim drops the ball to Glenn. The ball lands in the dirt. Glenn puts the ball in his hand.

“Want to stop?” asks Glenn.

“Yes” said Tim.

The Log

A frog can hop.

A frog can hop fast.

A frog can hop long.

A frog can not stop.

Fran can run fast.

Fan will find the frog,

But it will hop, hop, hop

To a log.

Fan can not stop the frog.

Bill can jump up.

Bill can run fast,

But he will run past the log.

Bill will not find Fran or the frog.

He will be wrong.

The cat will be last,

To run past the frog

on his log.

The cat will not stop

To kiss the frog.

She will walk to the back

of the long log

and soft she will sit

to nap a bit.

The Print

At the camp is a print. Is the print of a cat? No

Is the print of a bat? No

Is the print long or tall or fat?

The print is next to the tent. Is it a cat or a dog? Not at all. It is a fox.

A fox. What! A fox is not a pet.

A fox can be a pest. A fox can hurt a boy or a girl. A fox is not best to have at camp.

What do you want to do with the fox? The task is to get the fox and send it back if we can. The fox will not slip into the camp. I trust it will not trot next to the tent.

Do you want to put it in a box? Put it under lock? What will you do with a fox at your tent? What if the fox will hunt for a cat or a rat? Where can the fox be sent?

I will put the fox in a box and ask a man to put it in his car. He will help so all is not lost.

Wait! What is that. That is the boy in the back of the class. He stands next to the tent in the camp. He has a mask. What do you think? Is he a bad boy? Is he a brat? Is this fox a jest?

Yes. The boy is the fox. The fox is not a risk. The fox is a bad boy with a mask from my class. I will tell him to stop. It is not fun to act bad.

The Pond

Ann and Tam went to the pond with the raft. They kept the raft next to the pond in the shack.

The red raft was small. The girls like to jump from the raft into the pond. Ann jumps first, Tam jumps last. The girls swim in the cold pond.

Tam jumps from the raft first. She is ten years old. She can swim to the end of the pond.

Ann is six years old. She has a vest to help her swim. She can dump Tam in the pond. She can flip the raft and Tam will fall. Ann is a brat. But Tam must sit with Ann.

Tam wants clams. She drags Ann to the mud to look for clams. Tam must dig for clams in the mud and Ann must sit on a log. The clams are in the glop. Tam finds a spot to dig. Tam scans the mud for Ann, but Ann has fled. She slips onto the raft and grins at Tam.

Tam is in the mud. Ann is on the pond with no vest. Tam is mad at Ann but glad Ann is not in the mud. Tam wants to dig clams, not fret about Ann.

Oh no. Flip. Flop. Plop.

Ann is in the pond with no vest. Tam runs to the pond. Tam swims to Ann. She grabs Ann and props her in the raft. Ann was bad, but glad for Tam.
