Overview

COST Action TD0903 (BIOMINERALIX) aims towards new biometric strategies, the creation of tailored nano-scale architectures and environmental monitoring.

The main objective ofBioMineralix is to promote research on the biomineralisation processes of selected land, freshwater and marine species for both environmental biomonitoring and as a source of new biomimetic strategies and materials.

BioMineralixis the EC project funded in frame of a FP7 Cost Action under CMST with acronym TD0903.

The scientific work plan of BioMineralix is r ealized through the formation of four expertsWorking Groups (WG):

WP1: Biological and proteomic research

WP2: Advanced analysis and characterization

WP3: Environmental bio-monitoring

WP4: New biomimetic strategies and novel biomaterials
