Grading Procedures:
Assessment in this course will be determined from a variety of activities. For each nine weeks, the grade will be determined as specified below.
Major Grades: 50% A = 90 - 100
Tests, Major Labs and Projects, Other Assignments B = 80 - 89
C = 75 – 79
Daily Grades: 50% D = 70 - 74
Quizzes, Labs, Daily activities, Homework, Other Assignments F = <70
Retesting Policy:
If a student scores below a 75% on a major grade test, they have the opportunity to complete a set of questions to earn up to 10 points added to their original grade, however their grade cannot exceed 75%. Students must/ are encouraged to attend a tutorial in order to be eligible/ best prepared to earn the points.
Academic Integrity:
Any form of cheating, including (but not limited to) copying, plagiarism, forgery, and falsification will not be tolerated in this course. Any student caught cheating will receive a zero for that assignment.
Late Work:
Daily work will be accepted 3 days past initial due date for 10 points off each day late. On the fourth day, the assignment will be a zero. Homework assignments are due at the BEGINNING of class on the due date. Assignments submitted later in the class period or later in the day are considered late.
Absences:
If an absence occurs, it is the student’s responsibility to gather the assignments that were missed on the day of your return. If a student is absent the day of a test or quiz, it must be made up during the next class period or tutorials
Electronic Devices Phones, laptops, tablets are permitted and will be used for education.
Tutoring: Monday and Wednesday morning 6:50:-7:30 or by appointment
Required Material: 1” 3 ring binder, writing utensils, paper.
