Description:

A one-year scholarship in the amount of $1,000 has been established to assist a Wabash Valley Collegestudent who is pursuing a career in the medical/healthcare field. This scholarship is made possible through the generosity of Billie and Emil Tyler.

Eligibility Requirements/Criteria:

  1. Must be a U.S. citizen.
  1. Must be a second semester freshman or a sophomore at WVC.
  1. Financial Need will be a factor in determining the recipient.
  1. The successful applicant must have no less than a 3.0/4.0grade point average.
  1. Future Goal Statement: Write a 200 – 300 word essay stating your future goals as they relate to the medical/healthcare field.

Please indicate the type of employment desired after graduation.

State why you feel you should be considered for this scholarship

  1. One character reference letter from a person who is unrelated to you must be included.
  1. Must provide an official Wabash Valley College transcript.
  1. The award is to be paid directly to the College for use toward tuition, fees and books.
