The Miami Valley Miata Club has been contacted by Sally Morgan, Events Coordinator, The Mountain Miatas of East Tennessee, inviting the MVMC to join their club in riding the very scenic BSFSR on Saturday, September 27thrain or shine. Then I started thinking (uh,oh), what would make this trip even more interesting. So naturally, since we would be traveling right through the middle of Bluegrass Country, why not tour one of the very famous Kentucky horse farms and one of the more famous thoroughbred racetracks in the Country. Therefore, here’s the info: I’ll email final motel financial and other info early week of Sep 1, but RSVP NOW – SEE BELOW.

Ride the Kentucky & Tennessee Railway on a three hour,14 mile round-trip into the Daniel Boone National Forest and Big South Fork National River & Recreation Area. The trip is full of spectacular scenic vistas, lush vegetation, and mountain streams as it descends 600 feet into the gorge before stopping at the Blue Heron Coal Mining Camp, a National Park Service outdoor interpretive site. The ticket also includes admission to the McCreary County Museum in Stearns.

Since we should have at least 15 people for the train ride (combination of both clubs), the group rate will be $20.75 per person. A 50% deposit is required

2 weeks prior and final count 3 days prior (whatever we reserve that 3 days in

advance is what we’ll be responsible for)

and Sally has really stepped up by offering to put the reserve amount on her credit card. Each person should make a check payable to Sally Morgan in the amount

of $30.75 if you want the bag lunch described below, or $20.75

if you don’t want the lunch (of course double for pairs), and then give the check to Sally at the station.
