3.What are the current bill rates for each of the vendors providing Nursing Services to the district?

Current rate – RN – 34.00 per hour, LPN – 27.00 per hour.

4.What are the total numbers of contracted nurses providing services in the district during the 2015-2016 school year?1 position all year and near the end of the year there were two full time positions.

5.How many nurses have each of your vendors provided to the district during the 2015-2016 school year? The primary vendor has suppliedone at the beginning of the year and two the last nine weeks.

6.Has the district had any open or unfilled positions during the 2015-2016 school year? There have been short periods of time where a nursing position may be empty but they have always been filled.

7.How many nurses are there in the district, including district employees and contracted employees combined? We have approximately 30 nurses in the district. Some are stationed at a specific school, and a couple are stationed with a specific student.

8.How many contracted employees work full-time during the 2015-2016 school year? How many contracted employees work part-time? This past year we had1 full time person at the beginning of the year and two full time people at the end of the year. However, this can change quickly as we meet the needs of individual students.

9.Approximately how many nurses does the district anticipate needing for the upcoming school year? One that I know of at this time.

10.Will these positions be full-time or part-time? It would be full time.

11.Once the vendors for this current solicitation are awarded, will they be given the # of open positions that they can fill?

Once contract is awarded, if there are any nurses required, vendor will be notified. Services will be used on an as needed basis.

12.What was the annual expenditure for all services during the 2015-2016 school year?

Approximately $32,600.00.

13.Are bill rates all-inclusive for the entire day? It includes the hours that are actually worked but it does not include travel time or expenses. Billing will be for the number of hours worked. When RN/LPN services are needed it is anticipated that the positions will require 7 to 8.5 hours per day until the School Board determines the student no longer needs nursing services.

14.Is the travel time and mileage from school to school billable? No.

15.Does the district provide computers for contracted employees? Contracted personnel will have access to computers, printers and other technology that is required to complete their assigned job.

16.Does the district provide an orientation? Yes. The district level RN assigned to the school will meet to discuss the needs of the individual student.

17.Are your payment terms 30 days, 45 days, etc.? If not, what are the payment terms? Net 30

18.How many working days for nurses each school year?There are 180 school days, however, services will be used on an as needed basis.

19.How many hours are there in a work day? Work week?The length of most work days may vary from 7 to 8.5 hours. Wednesday is an early release day.

20.Does the district provide necessary training sessions, i.e. Medicaid training, that are needed in order for the contracted employees to do their jobs effectively and meet the job expectations?No. RN and LPN performing educationally relevant medical services must be duly qualified and licensed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida.

21.How are the Evaluation Criteria weighted? It is anticipated that Award shall be made to one Primary and one Alternate vendor who submit the first and second “lowest” and “best” responsive and responsible bids submitted based on conformity to specifications and price.
