Respected Sir,

In continuation of the previous letter dated 20.05.2015 additional information is mentioned. After the Bhopal gas tragedy happened in 1984, the health institutions in the gas affected area were immediately established/ started. Six hospitals, 9 dispensaries were commissioned in 36 wards of gas effected area with the facility of 634 beds.

2. The Hospital statistics available with the gas relief department since 1985 till date. Out of them from 1985 to 2009 no data was demarcated clearly for the gas victim, their dependent & non gas victim. The department started this practice of demarcation in last 5 years to categorize the data in gas victim, their dependent & non gas victim. This information has been already sent to GoI vide letter no. F. 5-3/2015/47, dated 20.05.2015. Again we are providing the information since 1985 to 2009. In this information no clear cut categorization of gas victim, their dependent & non gas victim as well as no disease profile can be established.

3. The e–hospital project system started since 2014, so the clear cut statistics can be available only after that. This statistical data is sent to you for your information & necessary action. The data sheet is enclosed as annexure–1.

Encl. : As above.

Yours Sincerely,
(K. K. Dubey)
