Date: Wednesday, April 10, 2002

Time & Location: 10AM, 234 Dana Laboratory

The meeting began with Prof. Kney discussing the schedule ahead. He brought to our attention that we have one final meeting scheduled where we can submit deliverables (if any are ready).

-must present an outline of our report by next weeks meeting

-suggested separating the cost and funding portions of the report

Crystalann- updated everyone with what she was doing with the structures portion of the project. She also stated that she was going to continue working on the beams/columns/slabs for next week as well as meet with professor Saliklis to discuss her numbers so far.

Todd- decided to go with the regional detention basin and if necessary a site basin to control the immediate runoff from out site. It was suggested by Prof. Ruggles that we only do up to the 10-yr storm for the regional basin. For next week Todd said he would work on the basin design as well as the pipe and swale design.

Adam- Informed the group that he had called Chief Hajdu about traffic flagging. The chief said that volunteers do the flagging so there is not additional cost and the chief also stated that there really haven’t been any major traffic problems following large events at that site. Adam also contacted the county again to address the needs issues but did not get any positive response. It was advised to Adam that he change the line type of the exiting contours for plotting. Also it was suggested to mention the older drivers in the traffic report for the Springtown and 519 intersection. For next weeks meeting Adam will try to contact Barth Johnson about traffic info, work on the HCS with the traffic counts that were done, and continue to work with Katie on the funding issue.

Katie- Said that she was continuing to work on the ESA report and reviewing the information that Jon and Kaye provided from their interviews. It was suggested to include the findings of the contaminants in the water that was analyzed by the Water Quality class. For next week Katie will continue working on the ESA report as well as work with Adam on the funding issues.

Dave- Obtained load calculations from Crystalann and is working on his bearing capacities. For next week he hopes to have the bearing capacities completed.
