EQUIPMENT
The carbonator is meant to make all product a consistent carbonation for the filling process. This machine uses a flow meter and modulating valve as well as a sparging unit to accurately inject CO2 based off a reading received by the CO2 meter.
After Carbonation the wine is put through a heat exchanger to guarantee the fill temperature. It is also put through a pressurized holding coil to maintain the CO2 in solution.
The unit is intended to be connected to the filler supply or a buffer tank. The buffer tank will have the ability to recirculate the product to maintain a consistent temperature in the tank prior to the product delivery to the filler bowl.
The unit has a skid mounted panel with touch screen. The system runs on ‘easy to use’ recipe based programs. PLC is Allen-Bradley (Control or Compact logix). Each pump supplied has a panel mounted VFD for control of flow rates between 8 gpm and 30 gpm. The unit will communicate with both upstream and downstream equipment via Ethernet.
This unit can come with one (1) VS 3000BMC in-line carbonation meters. The meter allows the unit to completely guarantee the carbonation level of the product leaving the skid. The unit can repeat CO2 measurements to +/- .008 v/v with an accuracy of +/-.02 v/v. The unit takes measurements taken 24 times per second in situ with no hoses or slip-stream. Mid-infrared CO2 measurement is not affected by temperature changes, pressure spikes or density fluctuations. The unit contains no moving parts and requires no routine maintenance.
