EUROPEAN JUNIOR CIRCUIT EVENT

Dear Sir/Madam,

Please find attached the entry form for the Barakat Squash Junior Open 2017 that will be held in Kyiv, Ukraine on 02-04th of June 2017.

The following guidelines apply for entering the tournament :

All categories have a maximum draw of 32 players.

Organizers of the tournament could change the quantity of players in each category according to entries.

-There are no individual entries allowed;

-Entries can only be made by the Member National Association. Entries from countries not associated with the ESF will have to provide a contact person from their Official Federation. That person will have to take responsibility for all entries from that country.

-All players will stay at the tournament hotel, Raziotel Yamska,

-Entries can only be made via email (in the subject of e-mail please write BSJO 2017 + name of country)

-All players needs to be under U19, U17, U15, U13, U11on the final day of the event.

-All players will have to wear approved protective eye guards.

-Details of the seeding and timings will be published at least 3 days before the start of the event.

-Closing date is 12th May 2017.

The tournament will start at 15:00h on Friday 02nd, all participants must be at the venue at this time.

CATEGORIES

Boys and Girls under 11, 13, 15, 17 and 19.

Players are only allowed to enter one category.

Maximum 32 - draws will be organised.

All players are guaranteed a minimum of 3 matches

Members in the categoryup to 11years will notreceiveranking pointsESF.

ELIGIBILITY

Barakat Squash Junior Open is open to all players under the age of 11, 13, 15, 17 and 19 on the 02ndof June, as appropriate. Players cannot participate without an active, paid for SPIN (Squash Personal Identification Number) – please visit to register

SEEDING

The seeding will be carried out using the European Junior Ranking valid at the closing date. Any non-European players without an ESF Junior Ranking will be seeded by the Tournament Chief Coach.

MATCHES

All matches played will consist of the best of five sets under the rules of the WSF. The Tournament Organisers reserve the right to organize plate matches consisting of the best of three sets.

Scoring will be to PAR 11 to 2 clear points.

REFEREEING

All players will be expected to mark and referee matches.

PRIZES

Trophies will be awarded in all categories by tournament sponsor – OLIVER (1st place – professional squash racket; 2nd place – bag; 3rd place – rucksack) and prizes from other sponsors and partners.

INSURANCE

Players enter and play in the tournament at their own risk. Neither the organisers nor the ESF will accept responsibility for injury arising from participating in the tournament.

Suitable insurance must be organised by the player or the participating federation. All players have to wear approved protective eye guards on court.

EYE GUARDS

Eye guards needs to be as per WSF guidelines: All junior players (under 19 years of age) must wear protective eyewear (manufactured to an approved national safety standard) properly over the eyes at all times during practice and match play. The list of WSF Certified Eyewear allowable at the time of participation can be viewed on the WSF website.

GUIDELINES

The event complies with the ESF Junior Circuit Guidelines, a copy of which is available on the ESF website all participating MNAs should make sure that all relevant people (including coaches, managers and players) are aware of the Guidelines and their requirements.

ENTRIES

All entries must be made through / endorsed by a player’s national association. Any entry not approved by the player’s national association will not be accepted.

DRAWS

The seeding will be circulated to all players or their national associations by e-mail.

Times of first matches will be indicated for their respective players.

RECORDING OF MATCHES

Matches may be recorded for coaching/performance analysis providing players and their parents/coaches do not object.

Tournament package 3:

In the event of a withdrawal from the tournament fees will be reimbursed as follows:

Withdrawal up to 3 weeks before the start date : fees reimbursed in full, (less bank charges).

Withdrawal between3 weeks and 1 week before the start date : 50% of fees reimbursed, (less bank charges).

Withdrawal 1 week or less before the start date : reimbursement at the discretion of the tournament organiser.

TRANSPORT

Players and officials will be picked-up and dropped off at Kiev International Airports (Borispol or Zhulyany) and Main train station (Kyiv Central railway station). Please note that transportation will be organized only for those taking packages 2-5.

From the Hotel to the Club will be organized transfers.

ACCESS TO THE FITNESS CLUB SPORT LIFE

At the time of the competition, players can make free use of the gym, pool, sauna complex and a relaxation room. Players and accompanying persons who have paid for a package with meals are eaten in Hotel restaurant, and also will be able to pay with 15% discount in the club restaurant.

PENALTIES

The following penalties will apply, in accordance with the ESF Junior Guidelines, Section E.4.a, and E.4.b & E.4.c:

E.4.a)If a player makes a late withdrawal from a tournament (2 days or less before the start date), a doctor’s certificate confirming injury/illness must be provided to avoid penalties. The medical certificate (with a translation in English) must clearly state the player’s name, date of birth and the nature of the illness/injury; the certificate must cover the date of the relevant tournament and must be sent to the ESF office within two days after the final day of the tournament (email: ; fax +44 1424 202463). Any player making a late withdrawal not supported by a medical certificate will receive zero points for the tournament which will count as one of their 4 best results for the rolling 12 month period and will be taken into account when dividing the points to obtain the ranking average. This penalty will be applied automatically unless the ESF office receives a doctor’s certificate within two days of the final day of the tournament.

If a player commits this offence for a second time within a 12 month period, he/she will be banned from the ESF Junior Circuit for a period of 12 months.

E.4.b) If a player has entered a tournament and fails to turn up, he/she will receive zero points for the tournament. These zero points will count as one of the player’s 4 best results for the rolling 12 month period and will be taken into account when dividing the points to obtain the ranking average. This penalty will be applied automatically unless the ESF office receives a doctor’s certificate within two days of the final day of the tournament (email: ; fax +44 1424 202463). If a player commits this offence for a second time within a 12 month period, he/she will be banned from the ESF Junior Circuit for a period of 12 months.
