Lagan Legacy / On the day we will talk about Belfast’s rich maritime history, show a relevant film and invite one of our own volunteers to speak about his time on the barge. Lagan Valley Regional Park / This is a fantastic opportunity for people to really feel connected to the natural world. RNIB / ‘Sightseeing with a difference!’
Volunteers can have a go on the tandems, they will be provided with some visual awareness training such as guiding. There will also be an opportunity for volunteers to have a go using magnification and speech software packages on a laptop/PC.
Sight loss can be isolating and the support that volunteers provide to our services users can build confidence, independence and inclusion.
