We are delighted to have your child in our fifth grade classes this year. We look forward to many exciting and rewarding experiences as the year progresses.
Take Home Folder – This folder will go home at the beginning of each week with the previous week’s work inside. Please review the graded assignments with your child, and contact the teachers if you have any questions.
Planners – Your child’s planner is a source of Willis ISD and Turner’s district and school policies. Your child will also be required to use this planner to write down all assignments and events in every class, every day. There will be periodic planner checks to ensure your child is writing down this information. Your child’s conduct will be recorded in his/her planner as needed. The final weekly conduct grade will be recorded by the homeroom teacher every week. Parent signatures are required.
Homework – Homework is assigned at the individual teacher’s discretion. Your child is expected to have the homework completed and ready to turn in when it is due. Please check the planner daily to see what assignment is due when.
Progress Reports/Report Cards - See the Willis I.S.D. website for specific dates. The signed progress report/report card is required to be turned in the following day.
Parent Portal - Willis I.S.D. offers a free parent portal to view your child’s grades and attendance. If you have not already done so, please sign up for this service as soon as possible.
Remind 101 - We use a free reminder system via text messages to which we encourage you to subscribe. Each teacher will send out periodic classroom reminders. Our subscription codes are:
