Before the Bell Rings

Ms. Moore’s Class Procedures

Before the bell rings:

·  Use the restroom.

·  Sharpen Pencils.

·  Get supplies for the day – den pack and handouts.

·  Make sure electronic devices are silenced and out of sight or screen down on the table.

·  Begin working on warm up

First TEN minutes of class:

·  Complete warm up. Make corrections if necessary. Ask questions about last night’s homework.

·  Grade homework. Ask questions! Make corrections if necessary.

·  Phones or devices should be put away unless the warmup states you can use them!

During class discussion:

·  Do not talk when the teacher is talking.

·  Raise your hand and respect the person who is speaking. ONE person speaks at a time.

·  Be prepared to answer questions, both voluntarily and upon request.

·  Ask questions.

·  Phones or devices should be put away unless I have asked you to use them (screens down!).

During individual work:

·  Do not speak to others in your group.

·  Raise hand and wait quietly to ask questions.

·  Listen to any directions given.

·  Phones or devices should be put away unless you have permission to use it.

During group work:

·  Contribute in a positive way to the group and the assignment.

·  Respect the members of your group.

·  Talk only to your group.

·  Attempt to resolve questions within your group – ASK 3 BEFORE ME!

·  Phones or devices are used during this time for the assignment or for listening to music. At NO TIME should students be snap chatting, texting, or emailing!!!!!

End of class:

·  Return all materials – den packs and class sets

·  Clean area

·  Leave the room in BETTER condition than when you arrived.

·  Phones and devices should be put away while waiting for dismissal. Phones are NOT allowed out in the hallway!

·  Wait QUIETLY in your SEAT to be dismissed.
