Entry Fee: Limit 3 works per artist. $5.00 per entry
Artist Prospectus
The BAL’s annual Membership Show will feature the work of our talented and diverse artist members who support the BAL’s mission and bring talent and creativity to our organization. Prizes will be awarded to First, Second, and Third places, as well as Best in Show. The Best in Show recipient is honored with a solo exhibition in the following year. The Membership Show will be on view in the Brown Gallery through the month of October. Join us for the opening reception on October 11 to meet many of the participating local artists.
Eligibility: This competition is open to all artists with original work completed in the last two years. Must be a current BAL member to participate. All work is subject to review by the show Chairman, Gallery Director, and Board of Directors.
Specifications: Artist is responsible for special installations and all accompanying equipment for the task. Work must be ready for display and securely fastened to any base required for display. Wall or hanging artwork must not exceed 72" in any dimension nor exceed 50 pounds in weight.
Awards: Cash prizes will be awarded to 1st-3rd Places and a winner of Best in Show will earn a solo exhibition at the BAL in September 2015.
Framing: No saw tooth hangers will be accepted. Wire or d-rings on the back of the artwork is accepted.
Sales: BAL will take 30% of a sale. Artwork purchased during exhibition cannot be taken until show pickup dates.
Disclaimer: BAL will take the utmost care in handling entries, however neither the League nor it agents will be held responsible for any damage to works. Any works unclaimed by November 1stare subject to a holding fee. If not picked up within 30 days from the 1st, works will become property of the Beaumont Art League. Entry into show automatically signifies agreement to these terms and conditions.
