Beanblossom, Moore Top Showmanship Contest at Junior National Hereford Expo

KANSAS CITY, Mo. —Sara Beanblossom, Bradford, Ohio, was chosen champion senior showman July 9 at the Junior National Hereford Expo (JNHE) in Harrisburg, Pa. Reserve champion was Cole Moore, Madill, Okla, The showmanship contest is sponsored by Sullivan Supply and Stock Show University.

After narrowing the field from 132entries, the top 10 seniors not only had to prove themselves in the showring, but also at the fitting chute.

The other finalists were: third place – Carlee Meeks, Taylor, Neb.; fourth place – Miranda Stotz, Skiatook, Okla.; fifth place – Maxwell Cherry, Winthrop, Iowa; sixth place – Bailey Buck, Madill, Okla.; seventh place – Brooke Jensen, Courtland, Kan.; eighth place – Jacqueline Rosson, Milford, Texas; ninth place – Marie Lock, Avon Ill.; and 10th place – Seely Sayre, Arenzville, Ill.

In the intermediate division, Victoria Chapman, Sulphur, Okla., was named champion and Scott Chachere, Dayton, Texas, was reserve.

Junior division champion was Rhett Lowderman, Macomb, Ill., and reserve was Audrey Nolan, Gilmer, Texas.

Devon Lockhart, Bryan, Texas, was named champion peewee showman and Shaylee Goings, Royal Center, Ind., was reserve champion peewee.
