ATTITUDE

Be prepared to think as a Scout in all situations, by keeping the Scout Law.

Try your best to take part in all the different activities and games. Keep to the rules of the games and understand that cheating, aggressive play and getting over excited are not necessary. Taking part is more important

Remember that nothing is boring if you approach it with the correct attitude.

BEHAVIOUR

Verbal or physical bullying will not be tolerated by Leaders, Scouts or Helpers.

If anyone is seen to act unreasonably, or to purposely be provoking, aggressive or violent; if they argue, shout abusively or use fowl and offensive language; they will be sent home for that week and suspended for the following week. If the behavior continues, the group executive committee will be informed and membership of the troop will be terminated.

RESPECT

Listen to what is being said by leaders, instructors and other Scouts. Give them a chance to have their say without being interrupted and be patient in waiting for your turn in having your say. Remember to treat people as you would like to be treated.

When taking part in activities, be aware that it has taken people time and money to prepare the materials and equipment. Take your turn when using them, follow the instructions given as well as you can, look after all the materials and equipment used and return them in as good a condition as possible.

Be aware that there are others around you with varying levels of experience and confidence; give them a chance to have their say and to have a chance at taking part in all the activities. Help them if you can see they are having difficulties.

Look after yourself and your possessions and the possessions of others, if they allow you to use them return them in good condition.

Look after the hall, its facilities and equipment, remember it is used by other groups, and they would like to find equipment as we would like to find it ourselves; Clean and in working order.

When away from the hall be aware of the general public, behave in an appropriate and dignified manner.

Remember that many activities, especially outside activities will have some sort of effect on the environment from leaving rubbish behind, to upsetting cattle, always follow the country code when outside.

Respect the fact that this is a uniformed organization and as such full uniform must be worn at official ceremonies and gatherings. ie. Flag break, flag down Investitures and other Scouting Ceremonies....

I ...... fully understand the above code of conduct and I am prepared to adhere to them.
