AWS Welder Training Scholarship / The AWS Welder Training Scholarship is for students seeking welder training in a program up to two years through a trade school, community college, or other facility providing welder training, and cannot be used for credits towards a four-year program. Each AWS District has $10,000, or ten (10) $1,000 scholarships, to award in a calendar year.

$1,000 / Applicants must be a CHELCO member, spouse of a member or the dependent of a member and must live on CHELCO lines. Applicants will be chosen based on scholastic achievement, school and community activities, economic need as well as the ability to communicate career goals. High school seniors must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and must provide college test scores (ACT, SAT). GPA must be certified by the guidance counselor.

2018 Taylor Haugen Scholarship Application
$1,500 / Eligibility Requirements:
Nominee must be a senior at an Okaloosa, Santa Rosa, Bay or Walton county high school;
Nominee must be an athlete who has participated in a high school sport as defined by the FHSAA;
Nominee must have a minimum 3.5 GPA unweighted; and 4.0 GPA weighted.
Nominee must be an active participant in community service;
Nominee may not be a family member of a Taylor Haugen Foundation executive committee nor any of its scholarship judges.
Nominee must be planning to attend a four year accredited college.
Trophy nominees are eligible for scholarship
Note: Due to NCAA eligibility requirements, recipients of full college athletic scholarships are not eligible to receive the $1,500 scholarship from the Foundation.
