What are your current CCR implementation and/or preparation efforts? Please give a detailed description of these efforts.
- Sonoma – Hired dep probationdeputy officer 3 (MSW) to be CCR specialist and connected with Human Services
 - Part of RFA and recruitment units
 - Lead on facilitating CFTs
 - Liaison with HR

 - Created job description for social worker and will on-board in a few months
 - Role: RFA, retention, family finding, home assessments, training for families and for POs
 - Working to schedule CFT trainings

What have you learned from these efforts? What barriers have you discovered? What has gone smoothly?

 - CW and Prob not at the same place re: partnerships
 - Usually place youth in residential care not FH. This is very different for LE.
 - Shift in culture
 - Need to shift philosophy and training
 - Retrain, rethink practice
 - Need specialty recruitment for probation
 - Want info/presentation on how to recruit homes in probation
 - Fear won’t have families we need
 - Families might not welcome these kids

- Support and partnering with BH
 - Many youth don’t meet BH needs but need for BH services is needed

 - Using some funding to work with CBO that want to move towards STRTPS to assist with MediCal & COA certification
 - One of biggest complaints from foster parents don’t get after hours support
