PRESIDENTIAL SCHOLARSHIPS

Open to all current, full-time senior students at Batavia High School, Notre Dame High School and Genesee Valley Educational Partnership. Students enrolled in any of the Academy programs at Genesee Valley Educational Partnership must apply through their home school of either Batavia or Notre Dame. One Student from each institution will be selected.

This is a$1,500 annual grant. Students must be enrolled full-time at an accredited U.S. post - secondary institution.

Students must maintain a minimum of a 2.5 grade point average or equivalent by the end of the final semester of each school year. If successful for all four years, this scholarship is worth $6,000 to the student.

Scholarship Criteria: Based on a number of factors with emphasis on each individual’s character, personal merit and background. Merit is demonstrated in a variety of ways: leadership in school, civic and other extracurricular activities, academic achievement; and motivation to serve and succeed in all endeavors.

The committee will interview finalists at each school between 5/12 and 5/16 as schedules permit. Scholarship winners will be announced the following week.

The three scholarship winners, parents and school administration representative will be requested to be the guests of the Rotary Club at a future meeting.
