Greetings,

As we reach half term, we felt it was time to pool our information and let you know details of the costume requirements for the Christmas panto, Dick Whittington.
We have separated out below the principles, some of which we have been able to provide parts of the costume.
There are 3 different types of chorus which are detailed on the other side of this sheet with details of what is required. If your character is not listed separately below, then use the chorus costume requirements for your character.
Queen Rat

We are hoping to provide the bulk of this costume for you, but would also recommend getting either some black jazz shoes or plimsolls. If the costume we have doesn’t work then we would be looking for a big black and flowing, witchy style outfit

Fairy of The Bells

A White and flowing outfit, ideally with glitter and sparkles etc. We’re happy with multiple looks, and I have some wings that you can use.
- White leotard with a tutu?
- White flowing dress?

Alice Fitzwarren

  • Alice in Wonderland style dress (Minus the pinafore)
  • Normal flat shoes
  • Alice band for your hair

Alderman Fitzwarren

The Alderman should be the same as the other Londoners, except not so run down. He is well off so would look posh. A cloak would work well and we have a hat for you to wear.

Idle Jack

Multi-coloured and patch worked. Think along the lines of chef’s trousers, but all over.
Alternatively, loud T-Shirt, dungarees and trainers.

Captain Cockle

  • White trousers
  • Black boots
  • Blue jacket, if possible, with some navy insignias added to it in gold/yellow
  • We have a hat for you

The Mate (Mr Mussell)

  • White Plimsolls (eBay for £3.99)
  • White trousers (pedal pushers / jeans / joggers etc)
  • Blue/Black & White stripped T-Shirt
  • Beanie hat (any colour, but the louder, the funnier!)

Sarah The Cook

I believe we have managed to provide everything you are going to need other than shoes. We think, dolly shoes, plimsolls or something similar all glittered up and made to look girly.

Dick Whittington

The same as the chorus Londoner costume, except that the trousers need to be elasticated at the knee to meet the socks.

Tommy The Cat

  • Fully black outfit possibly with white fluffy trim on collar / cuffs
  • Black gloves
  • Cat ears
  • Black plimsolls

Town Crier

We will provide a cloak and hat to wear over the top of your London chorus outfit

Werafez, El Macho, Tuffazel

  • Black trousers
  • Black T-Shirt
  • Red wasitcoat

Rising Stars - Rattling’s

  • Grey/Brown Trousers
  • Grey/Brown Trousers
  • Black plimsolls
  • Mousey/Ratty ears
  • A tail

Chorus

  • Londoners:
  • Black Plimsolls (eBay for £3.99 or Primark for a similar price
  • Rugby/Football socks (Up to the knee)
  • Cut off trousers (at the knee – either, elasticated at the cut or jagged and rough)
  • Rough looking checked shirt
  • Sailors:
  • White Plimsolls (eBay for £3.99)
  • White trousers (pedal pushers / jeans / joggers etc)
  • White T-Shirt
  • Saltan’sHareem (Girls) / Saltan’s Man Servants (Boys)
  • Girls – Princess Jasmine style, any colour
  • Boys – Scruffy Aladdin style outfit

Regards
John & Matt
