RULES OF PARTICIPATION:

The 1500 event for females and the 800 M event for males are on the order of events for the World Championships and at the Pan-American Games.

All SWIMMERS are eligible to participate.

MEET FEES: BDS $10.00 PER SWIMMER

Swimmers not entered in the meet wishing to swim time trials are required to pay $10.00 per event. All requests for time trials must be submitted on the prescribed form before the start of each day’s session.

The following rules shall apply to all entries:

There is no limit to the number of swimmers which a Club can enter in an

individual event. However only the two highest placed swimmers in a particular

Club will score team points.

There shall be no restrictions on the number of events in which anindividual competitor may participate.

With respect to the distance events it is recommended that swimmers 9 years & over participate in the 400 events andswimmers 11 years & over participate in the 800 & 1500 events.Please note that this is an OPEN event meaning that age group rules have been waived but coaches are still expected to exercise discretion with selecting events in that an 8 & under will not be entered to swim 200 M fly, breast & back, etc.

There will be no heats or preliminaries. All events are timed finals.

The pool will be open 90 minutes before each session for warm-up.

Ad hoc deck entries will not be accepted.

Swimmers must report to the waiting area at least 2 heats before the event in

which he/she has been entered. If the swimmer is not in the waiting area by

the designated time a decision may be taken that the swimmer has scratched the

event and the heat may be reseeded.

Deadline date for entries MONDAY, MAY05th, 2014on or before 6:00 PM

AWARDS:

Medals will be awarded to the first three (3) swimmers in each event.

A high point team trophy will be awarded to the overall winning team amassing the most points.

A high point trophy will be presented to the swimmer with the highest FINA ranked time

SCORING:

Scoring shall be as follows:

First Place -9 points

Second Place -7 points

Third Place-6 points

Fourth Place -5 points

Fifth Place -4 points

Sixth Place -3 points

Seventh Place- 2 points

Eighth Place - 1 point
