Meeting Minutes
April 7th, 2014 - 6:30 pm BTHS Media Center
Board Members in attendance: Joe Jasmon, Amy Jasmon, Keith Martin, Jay Marshall, Robb Gallitz, Candida Chisholm, Amy Nourse, Mike Prince, Dan Coates
Call to Order:
The meeting was called to order at 6:30 pm by President Joe Jasmon. Members were welcomed and signed in.
Minutes from the March Meeting were distributed. A motion to approve the
Minutes was made by Sherry Gallitz and seconded by Dan Coates. The motion
passed and the minutes were accepted.
Tim Irish gave the Treasurer’s Report noting that we had $34,074.29 in the checking account, $93,664.47 in the money market and $5.00 in the savings account. Total funds available totaled $127,743.76. Sherry Gallitz made a motion to approve the Treasurer’s Report and Amy Nourse seconded the motion. The motion passed and the Treasurer’s Report was accepted
Barry Craig reported that the District tournaments were on the horizon. Sports physicals were being performed at the school on May 17th at 9:00 am and 11:00 am. The Bartram Trail Girls Sports Program is being considered by USA Today to be highlighted as one of the top sports programs in the USA. The Atlas Golf Tournament will be held Sunday May 18th.
Committee Reports:
Executive Committee – Keith Martin reported on an opportunity with Radio Station WSOS to cover our varsity football games. Keith, Jay Marshall and Amy Jasmon are researching the opportunity. Initial costs will be $3,500 of which we have a $3,000 sponsor and will have the ability to sell ads to raise addition money for the booster club.
Finance Director – Donna O’Steenwas not present
Communications – Robb Gallitz reported that 27 athletes have committed to playing sports in college and encouraged members to provide him information to post on the web site and send out in email updates.
Fundraising – Bruce Kuzma was not present, however Joe Jasmon reported that we had 7 tables remaining to sell at the Low Country Boil.
Membership – Candida Chisholm reported that almost every team in the spring sports programs were reaching 100% in Membership participation.
Sponsorships – Amy Jasmon reported on TPC ticket sales and challenged the group to help reach the goal of selling 700 tickets.
Apparel – Amy Nourse had no report
Concessions – Mike Prince reported that concessions raised $39,123 thus far this year.
Team Liaison – Dan Coates had no report
Reserved Seating – Jay Marshall reported that we had 12 reserve seats left to sell.
New Business:
The membership was updated on the progress of the Lacrosse Wall and the fact that it was very close to becoming a reality.
Board Elections – The nominees for 2014 – 2015 Board of Directors were placed into nomination. The nominees are as follows:

A motion was made by Sherry Gallitz and was seconded by Dan Coates to accept the nominees into nomination. The motion passed and the nominees were accepted into nomination. The general election will be held May 5th, 2014.
Joe Jasmon announced the Presidential Scholarship Deadline was May 7thand the board needed to set interview dates the week of May 12th.
Old Business:
The Next meeting will be held on May 5th, 2014.
A motion was made by Sherry Gallitz and seconded by Dan Coates to adjourn the meeting. The motion passed and the meeting was adjourned at 7:30 pm.
