Barrier-free living comfort

Leinfelden-Echterdingen – (rp) Roto believes that, when combined with its matching gaskets and accessories, it currently ha the widest range of door and balcony door sills available on the market. The construction supplier reports that this also includes combinations of established solutions. A current example is the joint use of the “Eifel TB” outwards-opening sill and the patented “Texel” automatic floor door-gasket. This is because the duo ensures tested water tightness up to 600 Pa and takes account of zero-barrier alternatives, which are constantly increasing in demand as a result of demographic change. It also improves living comfort thanks to its unrestricted freedom of movement.

There are numerous benefits of the “Texel” floor door-gasket. Its robust sealing function prevents water penetration as well as draughts. It is not affected by fluctuation of temperature thanks to its permanent weather resistance, as no material deformations occur, regardless of the different heat or cold influences. Moreover, maintenance requirements are low in the long term. The PVC frame with hollow chambers also provides increased sound reduction.

The zero-barrier main door and balcony/terrace door solution also impresses with its ease of installation and flexible usability. It does not require any routing, is ideal for all conventional 16 mm European hardware groove and 13 mm axis sash profiles, can be used on DIN left and right and can easily be shortened by 125 mm on both sides without separation from the gasket. The installed gasket-compression can also be regulated without the use of tools. Finally, there are reduced cleaning requirements due to the upstream brush seal.
