Bank deposit at the rate of 10 000 lv. has the Bulgarian socialist Party's mayor nominee

Zahari Georgiev, the left wing mayor nominee in Plovdiv has 10 000 lv. savings. His family lives in an 85 sq.m. apartment on "Ivan Vazov" Str. The real-estate is a heritage from his parents, as well as the two decares land in Komatevo Plovdiv's quarter and Hrabrino village.

Together with his wife, niece and Draje Valcheva - former prime secretary of Bulgarian Communist Party in Plovdiv, he has a house in Gorna mahala - village near Karlovo town. The 60 sq.m. office, occupied by "Lanimex" - Liudmila's company, is also a family property.

He has also shares in the partnership in Parvomai village and they make profits on them of around 20 lv. per year. From the mass privatization he has bought also thirty or so shares in "Milk industry" in Plovdiv town. During his present mandate as a municipal councillor Zahariebv participates in the supervisory council of the Municipal Privatization agency in Plovdiv. He is among the founders of "Plovdiv 21 century" foundation which though does not function.

Together with his wife have "Lada Samara" produced in 1993.

"My biggest fortune is my collection of contemporary coins, orders, medals and stamps", Georgiev considers. "I have not counted what is their value and how much money they cost, but I would not sell anything, as Simeon Saxe-Goburg made with his grandfather's orders.", Georgiev says.

Radeva and her husband

are driving a new Peugeot

Nina Radeva and her husband Yordan are driving a brand new Peugeot 406 produced in 2003, they possess also an old house in Svejen village - monument of material culture.

They bought the car for 20 000 lv. on a promotion session from "Sofia trans auto". The house they acquired in 1995 and it was in very poor condition, it was almost fallen apart. They started restoring procedures part by part. On the first storey they made a bath room, a rest room and a modern pantry. They also made a new chimney-place.

We have to adapt it to our requirements and style of life and thus appeared to be a difficult task, Radeva comments. The real estate built on around 60-70 sq.m. has two floors. Yordan Radev, director of the International Plovdiv fair gave the idea they to buy the house.

In Plovdiv the family has and apartment - 130 sq.m. at the center of the city - on 16"Ruski" Blvd.. They have bought it in 1985 together with the garage - 20 sq.m. big.

From five years Radeva is an owner of a home - 105 sq. m. big on 21"Pencho Slaveikov" Str. The apartment has been built in 1967 and the deputy has received it as a heritage from her mother.

Still in 2001, the year when she was elected as a deputy to the National Assembly, Radeva liquidates her participation in all kind of firms. "I have some savings and has declared it to the Audit Office", Radeva tells. Together with her husband's saving the family assets count 65 000 lv. "My bank deposit is in Raifeizen bank and is for 15 000 euro", she explains. The rest of the money belongs to her husband.

He also possesses a company named "Topconsult" dealing with management consulting, but it does not function at the moment.

Garnevski has bought

a 841 sq.m. plot

"Whole the world can see what I possess", the independent Plovdiv mayor nominee Spas Garnevski says. At the very beginning of the pre-election campaign on 26 September he published this information on the Internet. The list contains six points. In the beginning is put the apartment where he lives together with his wife Donka. The family home is 98 sq.m. big and is located on 56 "Iztok" Str. in Plovdiv. They have bought it in 1980.

Former United Democratic Forces' leader in Plovdiv possesses half of a house storey in Markov village - 45 sq.m. big. This is my paternal home, built on 1967, Garnevski explains. Inheritances from his father are also 8 decares land in the same village. 3 of them are common possession with his wife Donka.

Since the last year Garnevski has a real estate in the popular tourist countryside Biala cherkva above Dobralak village. 841 sq. m. plot is bought by a private person. One storey building is made on 50 sq.m. "When I make some hotels, then you can ask me more about this place", Garnevski curtly says.

He denies having a bank deposit or any participation in firms. In 1990 he has experienced a failure attempting to establish company with some of his cousins. They registered it as a universal company but the very next year Garnevski started to work in "Hristo G. Danov" publishing house and had to quit the family firm. Since 1998 he is a co-founder and a chairman of the "Europe Adaptation" foundation dedicated to assist children who are orphans, who have disabilities and who live a poor life.

Garnevski has an automobile "Ford Focus", bought on lease and the contract expires in 2004. "The car belongs to "Moto Phoe, it will become mine, when I pay the last installment", he claims.

investigated Chomakov

The Plovdiv's mayor Ivan Chomakov lives in a 91 sq.m. apartment on 16 "Lerin"Str. The home was bought in 1994-1995 period. Garnevski used to live in the center of Plovdiv, before to move to "Zapaden" region. "We had two houses and a 1 decare yard, but this real estate was taken away from us and later destroyed", Garnevski recalls.

"After 15 years period of waiting they compensated us with an 85 sq.m. apartment on "Bogomil" Str.", the mayor explains. Since two week this home is let.

On Chomakov's name is signed a villa in Belitza village - 120 sq.m. big.

The courtyard around it is about 500 sq.m. Together with his wife they have 40 sq.m. of a total in the center of Plovdiv city. The premise is let to hair dressers who work there. Together with his brother Georgi, who is working in Germany for 15 years, have 20 decares near by Rogosh and Skutare villages in Plovdiv region. The land was a co-operative once; after the co-operation went bankrupt it was left to become desolate. The two brothers and their mother are inheritors up to 300 sq.m. in Dedevo village in Rodopa mountain each one of them. "Probably we have 100 sq.m. ideal part from land additionally, after our father passed away", the mayor adds.

The mayor's wife is also an owner of a land in Chirpan town region - around 15 decares. She granted them on lease and this year she gained 500-600 lv. Katya has also 250 sq.m. rising ground in Chepelare. Chomakov does not have a private car. The Nissan Jeep known to the citizens of Plovdiv, belongs to his brother.

"Probably I am the only mayor, investigated by the Prosecutor's office based upon the Low of the citizenship property. This happened in the middle of my mandate", Chomakov points out. "The investigation proved that my incomes are surpassing comparing to the properties I possess, because my length of service as an assistant in the Higher Institute of Mathematics, where I worked for twenty years, and I've worked for 4 years in Lybia", the mayor explains.

Atanasov lives

on 66 sq.m.

35-years old Plovdiv mayor nominee Slavcho Atanasov, supported by the Macedonian political movement lives together with his wife on 88 "Skopie"Str. in Plovdiv. Their home is a classic apartment from the communist era and is 66 sq.m. big. To buy it his wife borrowed 10 000 lv. loan from United Bulgarian Bank and she did not paid it in full.

He has inherited from his grandfather a house in Skutare village near Plovdiv. Now his parents live there. 2-3 years ago they built an additional storey after they sold an apartment in the center of Plovdiv.

"Our biggest possessions are our patrimonial agricultural lands", Atanasov says. He has 20 decares in Gradina village near Parvomai town and his wife - two times more agricultural lands in Yambor town region. The plots are grant on lease and they are receiving up to 100 lv. each one of them.

Atanasov's wife and his sister will inherit 130 sq.m. big apartment in Yambol. "We are happy with what we have, moreover it is difficult to maintain more than one house", Atanasov concludes.
