Driving Directions
From New Orleans / Northshore communities:
From the Causeway in Mandeville, follow US 190 North through Mandeville and Covington. As US 190 turns left towards Hammond, continue straight ahead, North, toward Folsom (road changes to LA 25).
From the stoplight in Folsom, continue North on LA 25 for 2.7 miles to the junction of LA 450. Turn left on LA 450. After 7 miles, cross LA 16 (flashing light), and continue on LA 450. After 4.5 more miles, cross LA 10 (stop sign, Stoney Point) and continue straight ahead on LA 450 for 1.2 miles…..where you will see the ‘Simpson Sod Co.’ sign on the corner of Chess Bankston Rd.
Turn right where you see the ‘Simpson Sod Co.’ sign on the corner of Chess-Bankston Rd. and follow Chess Bankston to the end (2.3 miles). Turn leftonto LA 440, and then left again into the first driveway. Look for “BambooGardens” on the mailbox.
From Baton Rouge, via I-12 and I-55 North:
From I-12 in Hammond, take I-55 North to exit 46 (Amite/LA 16). Turn right at the end of the ramp and proceed through Amite, continuing on LA 16 for 17.4 miles to the intersection of LA 450 (flashing light, KC Grocery, Stewart’s Steak and Seafood).
Turn left on LA 450. After 4.5 miles, cross LA 10 (stop sign, Stoney Point) and continue straight ahead on LA 450 for 1.2 miles.
Turn right on Chess-Bankston Rd. and follow it to the end (2.3 miles). Turn left onto
LA 440, and then left again into the first driveway. Look for “BambooGardens” on the mailbox.
From Mississippi, via I-55 South:
From I-55 South, take exit 57 (Tangipahoa/Hwy 440), and proceed East, without turning, for about 16.4 miles to our driveway. In these miles, you will first cross LA 51, then cross the adjacent railroad tracks, and then cross the TangipahoaRiver.
After crossing the new TangipahoaRiver bridge, the highway will change numbers from LA 440 to LA 1057. Continue ahead without turning..... ~10 miles later, the number will again become LA 440.
After crossing the Washington Parish line, continue ahead for ~ 3.5 miles to our driveway. Look for “BambooGardens” on our mailbox on your right.
From Franklinton, Tylertown or Bogalusa:
Travel south from Franklinton across the BogueChittoRiverBridge. Turn right (West) on LA 10 for ~ 3 miles. At Richardson, continue straight ahead on LA 440. BambooGardens is located 2.8 miles from the beginning of LA 440, on the left. Look for “Bamboo Gardens” on the mailbox on your left.
