Ballymoney Rotary Dragon Boat Challenge

9th September 2017

Draft Entry Form Notes

WHAT is it?

Dragon Boat racing is an ancient Chinese tradition and dates back more than 2000 years.

Dragon Boats are 40 foot long and need a crew of 15-19. An experienced member of Bryson LaganSports crew steers the boat and ensures that everyone has a fun but safe time on the water.

THE RACE

A race is a 250 metre sprint along the river Bann with 2 boats taking part. Through heats, the fastest teams make it to the final to become this year's Champions. The winning team is presented with medals and a trophy at the final prize giving ceremony.

WHERE & WHEN?

River Bann, Drumaheglis Marina, Ballymoney, Co. Antrim. Saturday 9th September 2017

Racing from 10.30am to 2.30pm
