Ballymena Borough Chamber of Commerce and Industry is delighted to announce further details of events that are taking place in the area during Global Enterprise Week.

On Tuesday 17th of November Invest NI will host a stakeholder event in The Braid, Ballymena, entitled North East Stakeholder Learn & Share. Admission is by invitation only. Starting at 9.00am and finishing at 12.00 noon, this initiative will allow networking between business support groups and many of the Invest NI personnel will be presenting on how they are supporting business now and going forward.

Dankse Bank in Ballymena will host Business Banking Information evening on Tuesday 17th November from 4.30pm until 6.30pm at Danske Bank Ballymena Finance Centre, Ballymoney Road, Ballymena. Registration for this event can be completed by emailing either or

Wednesday 18th sees an Ulster Bank Breakfast with their highly regarded Economist Mr Richard Ramsey as the speaker. This breakfast will take place in The Adair Arms Hotel, Ballymoney Road Ballymena. Chamber has been tasked with organising the flagship event of the week, a breakfast to be held in in the Adair Arms Hotel on Thursday 19th November. The theme of this breakfast : “Is a sustainable economy within reach in Northern Ireland ….. and how will it be achieved?”

A high profile panel of speakers has been arranged:

·  Professor Teri Scott, Chief Executive NRC

·  Glyn Roberts, Chief Executive NIIRTA

·  Barry Corrigan, Managing Director Dinsmore Textiles and Businessperson of the Year (2015 Ballymena Business Excellence Awards)

·  John Campbell, BBC Business Editor will chair the discussion

This panel has been very carefully selected to represent a range of differing views and opinions which should lead to a stimulating debate. This event will start at 7.30am with a full cooked breakfast and will finish at 9.00am. Due to the generous support of the Adair Arms Hotel and Mid and East Antrim Borough Council there is no charge to attend this breakfast.

Bringing the week to a close on Saturday 21st November Ballymena Business Centre will host a “Start a Business Roadshow” in their Church Street Offices from 11.00am to 3.00pm.

2015 Start a Business Roadshow will provide an opportunity for visitors to explore over 500 business ideas, avail of free business advice, access business start-up finance, be inspired by local entrepreneurs and much more. This is a family friendly event – with crafts for kids, competitions and free refreshments. The Start a Business Roadshow has been supported by Ballymena Business Centre and Mid and East Antrim Borough Council.
