Sunday9am; this Mass is offered each week for the intentions of the people of the parish.
Sacrament of the Anointing Of The Sick:
This weekend after all Masses this sacrament will be administered. It is a sacrament of peace and consolation for the unwell and those feeling the burden of the years. Please pass the word along to anyone who may be interested.
Ballylanders Confession:
Fr. Breen will be available for confessions on this Tuesday December 19thfrom 7 to 8 pm.
Advent Celebration Of God’s Mercy:
This celebration took place in Emly on last Monday evening, about 200 attended. The ceremony was conducted by candlelight. Each person was given a stone to help reflection and each person received a lighted candle. 9 priests were available for confession at the end of the ceremony. The feedback was very positive.
Christmas Collection for the Clergy:
This collection will be taken up this weekend. Each parish pays into a central fund; from this fund each priest in the diocese is paid. Each parish is given a target figure to contribute. Our target is €16,000. There are five collections for this purpose during the year. The Christmas collection is number three.
Tax Reclaim Form:
If you have not returned your form and are a tax payer please do so without delay. There is no extra cost involved just a one page form with your pps number and your signature. It does bring in significant extra money to the parish.
Garda Vetting:
There has been a great response to the Garda Vetting appeal. There are only a small number of forms to be processed. If you have not returned your form please do so without delay.

Talk on Drug Addiction:
For teenagers and young adults struggling with drug addiction their families and anyone who wants to listen. Talk given by Davide Barbieri ex gangster and recovering heroin addict ( clean of drugs for 21 years) along with 2 recovering addicts from Cenacolo Community Knock Co. Mayo. Cenacolo Community was founded in 1983 by an Italian num Mother Elvira Petrozzi. Cenacolo Community Ireland was set up in 1999 by Davide Barbieri. Forrest Hall Mitchelstown Sunday 17th December, 3-5pm. Testimonies and Question and answer session, 5-6pm. Opportunity to chat with recovering addicts. Refreshments served. Free of charge.

- Take care when carrying your handbag, smart phone or tablet in crowded areas. Keep them in a safe location, within view.
- Take care of your Christmas shopping and never leave it unattended, especially in your car.
- Park your car in secure, well-lit areas and make sure to lock it.
- Avoid burglaries at Christmas- Secure all doors and windows and use your alarm.

Christmas Festivities in Glenbrohane:
Saturday 16th December: A Christmas Carol Service in the church at 7pm, followed by
Mass at 7.30pm.
Celebrations afterwards in Glenbrohane Hall with a cuppa, mince pies and a Christmas raffle. Social gathering in Fogarty’s Bar from 10pm – Close.
Thursday 21 December: 2 walks in aid of Milford Hospice.
