On behalf of BALLET ARTS CENTRE OF WINCHESTER we would like to say "welcome" to all of our new students and to our returning students as well! We have a great year planned with lots of fun classes, our bi-annual Nutcracker production, performances, special events, and more, so get ready for some good hard work and lots of fun! The purpose of our newsletter is to keep you informed about all upcoming calendar events and any news pertaining to our school. You can always visit for updated information as well.

Nutcracker Auditions!Saturday, September 26th, 2015
Ages 7 to 9 ... 1:00 - 2:15 p.m.
Ages 10 to 12 ... 2:30 - 3:30 p.m.
Ages 13 and Up ... 3:45 - 4:45 p.m.
Audition Fee - $20.00
(Additional Performance Fee of $150.00 if you are awarded a role)

Auditionsfor BAC's Pre-Professional Company and Performance Groups will take place Friday, September 18th, 2015
Ages 10 to 13... 6:00 to 6:45 p.m.Ages 14 and Up... 7:00 to 7:45 p.m.These programs are for serious dance students ages 10 and up who wish to enhance their commitment and pursue their dance training at a moreintensive level. Programs offer students more performance opportunities, additional classes, master classes, and workshops throughout the year.If you are thinking of auditioning, you must sign up in the office and pick up important paperwork before Friday, September 18th!

Dress Code and Hair
Students should have the proper attire for classes they are enrolled in. We have been making a consorted effort to educate our students about the importance of coming to dance class in proper attire and with their hair done appropriately. We are urging all students to make an effort to come to ballet classes with their hair in a bun, as it is part of a tradition that contributes to the student's feeling of "readiness" and enhances the success of their experience in class. We do understand that for many busy, working parents this may be asking a lot, but we encourage organizing supplies ahead of time in your child's dance bag (elastics, bobby pins, hairnets) so that it becomes part of the routine for class each week. At the very least, hair must be tied up neatly in a ponytail or pulled off of the face if it is short. We will appreciate any efforts on your part to help us make dance class a wonderful, positive part of your child's life! Thank you!

Also teaching will be our director Miss Debbie. We are pleased to welcome Molly Stamell to the faculty who will be teaching ballet, modern, and children's work. Our Office Manager Lauren will once again be in our office to assist you with whatever you may need, and our receptionist Marissa will be in the office on Saturdays.Here’s to another great year filled with lots of new and exciting energy along with classes, performances, activities, and special events!
