Meeting Minutes - 11/30/17

  1. Call to order

Yolanda Pindegayosh called the meeting to order, seconded by JamesHvezda, SR at 6:05 pm.

  1. Roll call

Cheyenne Millerconducted a roll call. The following persons were present:

Wyatt Auginaush – High School Student Representative

JamesHvezda, SR – JOM Parent Representative

Carol Vik – Bagley Schools Indian Education Director

HassaniBruton – Elementary Student Representative

Yolanda Pindegayosh – JOM Chairperson/Parent

Shane Auginaush – JOM Parent Representative

Cheyenne Miller – JOM Secretary

Jo Lynn Auginaush – JOM Vice-Chairperson

  1. Approval of minutes from last meeting

Cheyenne Millerread the minutes from the last meeting. The minutes were approved as read.

  1. Open issues

a)Updating By-laws – Tabled until 12/18/17

b)Documentation/meeting minutes for elected officers of JOM.

Explanation of the voting that took place on February 7, 2017 at the Bagley High School Commons. Yolanda Pindegayosh was voted in as Chairman and was present to accept the position. Jo Lynn Auginaush was voted in for the Vice- Chairperson and was present to accept the position, Cheyenne Miller was voted in as the Secretary and was present to accept the position.

This shall serve as the documentation for the purpose of any JOM meetings/services since February 7, 2017. The three positions will serve as the committee members as well as any parents/guardians of JOM certified children. They have the capacity to make decisions, change by-laws and to authorize any financial payments necessary as submitted and discussed at JOM Meetings.

c)LIEC Checking Account – Needs to be closed. Meeting minutes will be certified at an emergency meeting. Yolanda Pindegayosh and/or Jo Auginaush and/or James Hvezda SR will go to First National Bank to transfer the authoritative signatures, request report for the previous 2 years 2015-16 SY, 2016-2017 SY, and the 2017-2018 SY to date Financial transactions, and to close the Checking Account # ****5933. Once closed the balance remaining will be submitted to the White Earth JOM office to be placed into the Bagley Schools JOM account through White Earth Finance.

  1. New business

a)Discussion of what is currently covered by JOM. Will table until 12/18/17.

b)Discussion of current reimbursement requests.

Sports Shoe reimbursements for:

James Hvezda for Shayla and James Hvezda Jr – Amount $100

Yolanda Pindegayosh. for Alex and HassaniBruton-Dawson – Amount $100

Sports Fee Reimbursements:

Laurie Pemberton for Lamarco Pemberton – Amount $65

Cheyenne Miller for Aaliya Spotted Thunder, AalisaAuginaush for sports fees and shoe reimbursement once certification is finalized.

c)First National Bank account will be changed to have Yolanda Pindegayosh and/or Jo Auginaush and/or James Hvezda SR and will be closed as stated above.
