B Resort Visual Arts Program
Q. How can I participate in this program?
A. Submit a high-resolution jpeg of each piece you would like to exhibit, or send a link to your portfolio to B Resort c/o Ana Suarez at by March 15, 2014. Be sure to put B Artistic in the subject line. The B Resort executive and design teams will select work to complement the hotel’s contemporary design. Artists will be notified if their art is selected.
Q. What type of art can I submit?
A. Paintings, photography, sculpture and mixed media
Q. When will artists drop off their work?
A. For artwork selected for the exhibit, we prefer to have pieces dropped off weekdays during business hours, however we can be flexible and work with the artistto coordinate a drop-off on the weekend if his/her work is selected for the exhibit.
Q. Will B Resort have a contract to sign stating that the paintings are on loan and that they belong to the artist?
A. Yes.
Q. How will artwork be sold?
A. One hundred percent of the proceeds from sales will go to the artists. All sales from the exhibit will be made directly with participating artists. Thename of the work along with artist’s name, bio and contact information for purchase will be placed beside each piece.
Q. Where will artwork be shown?
A. It will be prominently displayed on the hotel’s main floor in the pre-function area of the ballroom and meeting space.
Q. Will the paintings be insured while on display?
A. B Hotels & Resorts is not providing insurance. Artists and galleries should be insured on their own.
Q. Do I need to provide display stands for my work?
A. No, artwork will be hung on designated public wall space.
Q. Do I need to hang my own artwork, or will the hotel do this?
A. B Resort’s Engineering Department will handle all installations.
Q, Are there other perks to this program?
A. B Resort will also provide studio space on-property for a selected artist to be used as his or her studio for one year.

Q What is B Resort?
A. B Resort is a new lifestyle hotel opening this spring within walking distance from the Downtown Disney® area and close to all Walt Disney World® Resort and Orlando theme parks, as well as shopping, dining, nightlife, and entertainment. The group’s flagship property – the AAA Four Diamond B Ocean Fort Lauderdale – debuted in March 2011 steps from the beach and a few blocks from the the Intracoastal Waterway.
