i. Students should convert Writing Assignment #4, #5 to two separate typed documents. Include the cover sheets attached.
ii. Writing Assignment #6
1. Write a list of 30 things that inspire you.
2. Reflect on and write about why each inspires you.
3. Students should type their work in Google docs.
iii. Writing Workshop
1. After typing their documents, students will form small groups and share the writing of their choice
2. Students will discuss with each other their ideas
d. Talk #1 Work
i. Students can work on their talk outlines.
ii. Gather research
iii. Look over the materials sent via Google Classroom.
iv. Reminder: students should make sure they have selected a topic on the Google sheet.
e. Homework: Talk outline.
Writing Assignment #4-Learning Choices

Writing Situation: Self-reflection is a requirement for self-improvement. Writing is one of the best ways to engage in personal reflection.
Writing Directions: Write a list of as many of the more meaningful choices you have made in respect to your learning over the last few days. Then, reflect and write about the motivation behind the choices you made and also relate the outcome.
Standards Addressed:
12W10: Write routinely over extended time frames (time for research, reflection, and revision) and shorter time frames (a single sitting or a day or two) for a range of tasks, purposes, and audiences.
Writing Assignment #5—List of “Yes” and “No”

Writing Situation: Self-reflection is a requirement for self-improvement. Writing is one of the best ways to engage in personal reflection.
Writing Directions: Write a list of 30 things you would like to say “no” to. Also, write a list of 30 things you’d like to say “yes” to. Then, reflect on and write about what prevents you from saying no and yes to these things. When you are done with your writing, take another look at it. Likely you will see a pattern of behaviors and/or attitudes that emerge.

Writing Assignment #6—Things that Inspire

Writing Situation: Reflecting on our what inspires us is an excellent way to find more inspiration, but the exercise can also reveal to us interesting insights into what matters to us and what does not.
Writing Directions: Make a list of 30 things that inspire you. Then, reflect on and write about why these things inspire. Be introspective and cerebral. Try to avoid being a goofball.
