Portfolio Requirements
Portfolios may be hand-delivered or sent to the Expressive Arts Department, along with all applicationmaterials by March 1st. Portfolios can be placed in Jessica Wilson’s mailbox located in the Chino Building near the Expressive Arts Secretary’s office. Portfolios are reviewed once each year.
Your portfolio should include:
- Twenty (20) images or 3 short films or new media works showing a cohesive body of current or recent work and which demonstrate your creative achievements and should reflect your area of interest in some part. (Only 20 Images will be reviewed, do not include extras)
20 Digital portfolio images of artwork may be submitted on a CD-Rom, or Jump Drive. Use .pps or .jpg format. Slide show format is preferable.
- Slide/image List- typed, in numerical order, which identifies each work by number, title, media/medium, dimensions, completion date.
Portfolios will be returned to all residents of the United States of America. Applicants with residence outside the U.S.A. must include a self-addressed, stamped packaging for the return of portfolio. (U.S.A. First class Postage only) All precaution will be taken to protect portfolios but WNMU or the visual arts program cannot be responsible for loss or damage.
- Statement:Your application statement should state your BFA goals and art philosophy typed in a one-page format. Include your artistic and academic goals that you have accomplished and identify the direction, which you intend to explore. This statement is considered part of your application portfolio.
