1.Development of a software module for analysis of structures like Beams, Trusses and Frames in 2-D plane with 1-D elements (axial (bar), beam) with graphical output using Finite Element Method. Displayed at Open House – 2002, IIIT, Hyderabad …

BriefCommercially available software for Finite Element Analysis requires lot of overhead in terms of Pricing, Memory Usage and Personal Training. In general practice a Structural Engineer deals with 1D structures for analysis and designing. This Project aims at making the Module easy to handle and also give Accurate Results with required Visualization. The Module can easily be used as a handy “STRUCTURAL CALCULATOR”.

2.Development of a software module for analysis of a beam using Method of Superimposition and Bisection Method.

BriefThe scope of this project includes computing shear force and bending moment and plotting their diagrams and deflected shape for a single span beam having different end conditions (cantilever, simply supported, propped cantilever, fixed) to cater the need of civil, structural and mechanical engineers and architects.

3.Development of Architectural Design, Structural Design and Project Management System for the Academic Center and Student Village for ‘Indian School of Business’, Hyderabad, India.

BriefThe aim is to make the student of the opposite domain know about the highlights of the project intricacies. The requisites are to get a live project around. A student each from Structures, Building Services & Automation and Project Management would team up ourselves, work from the scratch in unison and analyze judiciously and come up with the suggestions finally at the end of the semester.

4.Development of Database Management System for management of distribution of water resources in the state of Andhra Pradesh, India.

BriefWater Resource Management has become the need of the day due to the unpredictable nature of monsoon in India, indiscriminate and unplanned usage of water. This problem is further aggravated due to rapid increase in population, and corresponding load on agriculture and industries. Therefore we plan to construct one exhaustive database system that can facilitate the planners regarding proper implementation and controlling the water related to conservation, distribution and supply systems.
