Azure IoT Hub Device Provisioning Service in Preview
The Device Provisioning Service is anew service that works with Azure IoT Hub to enable customers to configure zero-touch device provisioning to their IoT hub. With the Device Provisioning Service, you can provision millions of devices in a secure and scalable manner, automating a processthat has historically been time and resource intensive for manufacturers and companies managing volumes of connected devices. The Device Provisioning Service is the only cloud service to provide complete automated provisioning, including both registering the device to the cloud as well as configuring the device.
App Service on Linux and Web App for Containers Generally Available
Azure App Service is now generally available on Linux, including its Web App for Containers capability. With this, we now offer built-in image support for ASP.NET Core, Node.js, PHP and Ruby on Linux, as well as provide developers an option to bring their own Docker formatted container images supporting Java, Python, Go and more.
Seamless cost reporting and analysis for Enterprise customers: now in preview
Enterprise Cost Management within the Azure portal was announced for preview.With this release, Azure Enterprise Agreement (EA) users can view and analyze their subscription costs across different pivots, within the Azure portal. This will empower subscription admins with more granular visibility into costs by resource group and tag.Over the next few months, you will continue to see us roll out new capabilities to help you better manage your Azure costs and services.
Bot conversation history with Azure Cosmos DB
The Bot Framework provides a service for tracking the context of a conversation, calledBot Framework State. It enables you to store and retrieve data associated with a user, conversation or a specific user within the context of a conversation.
Create flexible ARM templates using conditions and logical functions
ARM templates now have added support for conditions on resources, as well as many more capabilities including logical and comparison functions that can be used in the template language when handling conditions. A common ask from customers is, “how can we use conditions in our ARM templates, so if a user selects parameter A, then resource A is created. If not, resource B should be created?”. Up until now, nested templates or manipulation of complex variables based on input parameters was required to achieve conditions.
