The mission of AzALAS is to positively impact all students to ensure the success of their future education and lives. As an organization, we identify and promote existing and future educators that serve Hispanic communities by providing them with leadership and mentorship opportunities. The focus of the organization is to improve the educational attainment and accomplishments of Latino children by our commitment to identify, recruit, develop and advance professionals that serve majority Latino communities.
AzALAS is calling for presentation proposals from individuals within school districts and other educational organizations for relevant and quality breakout sessions on topics critical to improving achievement of Latino children in the State of Arizona.
Presentations should be designed to actively engage and support participants to:
- become more knowledgeable about quality programs, impactful pedagogy and best
practices that promote the achievement of English Language Learners.
-develop a deeper understanding of the principles for effective teaching and learning for
all students.
-learn about educational leadership capacity at the school campus and district levels.
