This scholarship, in the amount of $300, is being offered to a Caledonia-MumfordCentralSchool graduating senior. First preference will be given to a student pursuing a degree in agriculture or a related field such as conservation, horticulture, environmental studies or similar major. If there should be no applicant on this basis, this scholarship will become open to any applying senior continuing at an accredited school of higher education.

The Caledonia-Mumford Rotary Club would like to present a scholarship to a graduating high school senior based on the following:

Criteria:Completion of application & essay

Student should be enrolled in a 2 or 4 year college

Student should have attained a high school average of 80%

Work Experience

Volunteer Experience

Cal-Mum Rotary Club will make a final decision of recipient and alternate. Scholarship recipient will be announced by the High School Principal at graduation and will be awarded upon presentation of tuition bill at August Rotary meeting.

Big SpringsGarden Club of Caledonia Scholarship

This scholarship, in the amount of $400, is being offered to a graduating senior residing in the Caledonia-MumfordCentralSchool district. First preference will be given to a student pursuing a degree in horticulture or a related field such as agriculture, conservation, landscape architecture or a similar major. If there should be no applicant on this basis by May 17, this scholarship will become open to any applying senior continuing at an accredited school of higher education, subject to the decision of the Big Springs Garden Club Scholarship Committee.

The Garden Club needs to receive the application by May 17, 2013.

Odyssey Controls, Inc. Scholarship

Purpose of Scholarship - To benefit a well rounded student graduating from CMCS who is planning to pursue higher education in a field of engineering (chemical, electrical, mechanical), industrial automation, or computer science. Selection is based upon academic achievement and participation in varsity athletics or band.

Award - $1,000.00

Allowed Use of Award

For educational expenses of college, to be paid directly to college Bursar’s Office

Eligibility Criteria - For a graduating senior from CMCS who

1.Is planning to attend a 4-year college

2.Earned a varsity letter in two sports during each of grades 11 and 12, or participated in band 9-12 grades.

3.Demonstrates good citizenship and leadership skills

4.Minimum high school collective grade average of 80% or above.

5.Successful interview with Odyssey Controls, Inc. representative on or during the week of May 27, 2013

6.Must be pursuing a college major in a field of engineering, industrial automation, or computer science.

Application deadline – application must be turned in to Mrs. Rogers in the Counseling Office by Friday, May 24, 2013 at 3:00 p.m.

THE JAMES R. CHIVERTON MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP AWARD

This yearly award is presented to one graduating senior from one school that services LivingstonCounty.

Eligibility: A graduating senior from any school that services LivingstonCounty and a resident of LivingstonCounty. The applicant must be planning to enroll in a program/major in college that is focused on a career in Criminal Justice.

Application: Must made in written form, with the applicant stating the student’s career goals, objectives, and their primary reason for pursuing a career in criminal justice..

Award: A single award of $1000.00.

Deadline: This application will be submitted no later than May 31, 2013.

First Presbyterian Church of Caledonia Scholarship

The First Presbyterian Church of Caledonia is offering a scholarship to recognize a student who sincerely wants to continue education beyond High School.

Criteria for this award is:

  • a senior from Caledonia-Mumford high school who will be graduating in June, 2013.
  • has been involved in the SOS program as a student in Middle School or as a tutor in high school.
  • Is involved in school and community activities
  • Is accepted to college in the fall. Applications are available on the table outside of Mrs. Rogers’ office. Application deadline is May 22, 2013.

Dr. William S. Andoloro Medical Scholarship

There will be two awards each in the amount of $1,000

  1. A 2013 graduate of Caledonia-Mumford planning to major in a field of medicine, such as nursing, radiology, physiotherapy, physician’s assistant, occupational therapy, nurse practitioner, or pharmacy.
  2. A member of a former Cal-MumHigh School graduating class now entering or attending MedicalSchool in a doctor or medicine (M.D.) or doctor of osteopathy (D.O.)

$1,000 DonCarpenterMemorialCollege Assistance Award

In order to qualify, the following criteria must be met:

  1. Student must be full time 12th grade student, under the age of 21.
  2. Student must be graduating from one of the following High Schools in June: Gates-Chili, Churchville-Chili, Wheatland-Chili, or Caledonia-Mumford.
  3. Student must be entering college in the fall. The selected student will be required to show proof of enrollment before award is distributed.

Dana Fry Scholarship Fund – Vietnam Veterans of America

The members of the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 193 are offering two scholarships of $500.00 each. Being a child of a veteran, or having military ambitions is helpful but not necessary.
