BREEAM Healthcare Awareness Seminar

The Department of Health have commissioned BRE to update the self-assessment tool NEAT (NHS Environmental Assessment Method) to include the latest standards and best practice in the healthcare construction industry. The new certification scheme BREEAM Healthcare will be based on the structure and process of the other BREEAM schemes and will be launched in Summer 2008.

To promote the new BREEAM Healthcare scheme, BREEAM are holding seminars to introduce the scheme at BRE, Garston, Watford.

The seminar

This seminar will provide a brief introduction to the BREEAM Healthcare and demonstrate how this environmental assessment method can help to meet sustainability targets within the healthcare industry.

The aim of the event is to give people a better idea of what BREEAM Healthcare will mean to them.

The seminar is intended for building industry professionals, facility managers, healthcare organisations, and local health authorities.

The seminar will include:

An overview of the BREEAM assessment process
The principles of the BREEAM Healthcare 2008 method
A workshop focusing on a simple health building case study
Details of current & future BREEAM Healthcare mandates

Lunch will be provided before the seminar and refreshments will be provided during the break.

The cost of this seminar is £125 plus VAT per delegate.
