Awards Presentation and Dinner Dance
Congratulations Superfins on a fabulous milestone, 30 years since the clubs first inception and it continues to go from strength to strength even today, promoting the motto Fun, Fitness and Friendship.
What a great turnout it was, with almost 215 people attending to congratulate each and every swimmer on a successful 2015 in the pool. There are lots of people from the night to thank that did a lot of the running around to make the night a huge success, but these three people in particular gave up their time to come and celebrate this momentous occasion with us. Kerry Smith (Life Member of Superfins WA), Darren Beazley (CEO Swimming WA), Gary Bradley (President of Masters Swimming WA). We really appreciated you all saying a few words to us about your involvement with Superfins, and how Superfins as a club has enhanced the lives of people living with a disability over 30 years. Congratulations to everyone once again on a fantastic year. I would like to reiterate the fact that we have some brilliant Coaches and Volunteers working with us who we heavily rely on. If it weren’t for them our club wouldn’t be in the position we are today. Also to all the Committee Members who work immensely hard behind the scenes, we thank you all.
Club Swim
Our last Club Swim for the year will be held on Saturday 12th December at HBF Stadium (during normal training sessions). Following this there will be a casual picnic (Subway and Drinks)at the entrance to the Stadium under the trees that all swimmers parents/carers can attend. For those swimmers that couldn’t attend the Presentation Evening on the 14th November we will be presenting you with your awards. It will be nice to see as many faces as possible on this day! Note: Katya will be handing out an Entry Form for the club swim to each swimmer at training, so make sure you please RSVP at the bottom if you will be staying for the lunch, and if so how many people we should cater for.
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!!!
The last day of swim training for 2015 will be on Saturday 19th December, and we will be resuming on Monday 4th January 2016. I wish you and all your families a wonderful Christmas and a Happy and Safe New Year.
Bathers and Rashies
Are you running low on bathers on rashies and can’t see the year out? Or maybe you are just so dedicated you’ve decided to swim on your Christmas Holiday’s and need a new pair? Well if you contact Mary Arrow she may be able to assist you. She only has limited stock in limited sizes so first in best dressed! Please see the attached list of stock and sizes
Club Shirts
I know everyone just loves parading around in their Superfins ‘paraphernalia’…as you are all dedicated athletes after all!!!! If you are in need of a club shirt, black pants or even a jacket, then Jan Saunders may be able to assist. Keep in mind that we also have a bi-annual club photo coming up next year, so you may need some gear for that occasion. Contact Jan at or 0412 687 720 as there is still some available in stock. There are only limited sizes still available so be quick! Please refer to attached stock and sizing chart.
