Instructions to Candidates

  1. Candidates shortlisted for admission are required to submit the following :
  2. Prescribed Academic fees, Hostel fees and Mess fees as mentioned in point 2 below
  1. Attested copies of the documents mentioned in point 6below. Candidates will be required to submit/produce the original documents at the time of the commencement of the programme.
  2. Fill in the online admission form through the link given on the website of the institute i.e.
  1. Fees must be paid as per details given in the following table on or before the last date mentioned in point 2D.

2 A) Regarding Hostel Accommodation and Mess Fees:

  1. Symbiosis Society manages the hostel and Mess through the office of the Senior Campus Administrator, Col. C.V. Mohan.
  2. For the academic year 2014-15, there will be no hostel facilty for boys. A Private hostel within a distance of 3 kms is run exclusively for boys of Symbiosis, Viman Nagar campus. However, Symbiosis does not have any role to play in the management of this hostel. For more details contact Mr. Somnath at 09767152299
  3. Hostel fees and Mess fees must be paid to this office and NOT to SCMS, Pune
  4. Hostel rooms will be allotted on ‘First-come-first-served basis’ and is subject to availability.

  1. Important points to be noted:

aTransfer of admission from one SIU Institute to another SIU Institute (prior to the commencement of the programme):In case a candidate has taken admission to any of the programmes at any one of SIU Institutes and subsequently, as the waiting list moves, he/she become eligible and desires to take admission to any other programme of other SIU Institute, the entire amount of fees paid by the candidate will be transferred to the new Institute and the differential amount if any will be refunded to the candidate /paid by the candidate to the Institute where he/she takes admission.

bTransfer of admission from one SIU Institute to another SIU Institute (after the commencement of the programme): In case a candidate has taken admission to any of the programmes at any one of the SIU Institutes and subsequently takes admission to any other programme of other SIU Institute, proportionate amount of academic, hostel and mess fees shall be deducted and the remaining amount shall be transferred to the Institute where the candidate takes admission. The candidate shall also be required to pay the differential amount of fees as applicable. The deposit(s) amount shall be transferred in full to the Institute where the candidate takes admission.

  1. Refund rules: As announced in the Symbiosis International University (SIU) E- prospectus.
  1. Procedure for Refund of Fees: -

To cancel admission the candidate is required to first inform the Institute about his/her intent to cancel through a written communication or else the withdrawal will not be treated validfrom that date. After this communication, the original challan copy of the fees paid, along with an application signed by the candidate must be sent to the Institute. The refund application will then be processed. Refund of fees after the stipulated deductions shall be made within a fortnight.

  1. List of documents to be submitted to the office at the time of admission
  1. Attested Copy of Migration Certificate. (This is compulsory for all candidates - candidates from MaharashtraState/ outside MaharashtraState). Original Copy is required to be submitted at the time of commencement of the programme.
  2. Attested Copy of Transfer certificate or school /College leaving Certificate. Original Copy is required tobe submitted at the time of commencement of the programme.
  3. Attested copy of Category certificate issued by the competent authority. (If admission is against the reserved category i.e. Differently Abled, SC, ST, Defence dependents, Kashmiri Migrants etc.) Original Copyis required to be produced at the time of commencement of the programme.
  4. Attested copy of Std X and Std XII mark sheets (for checking 50% in Std XII / 45% marks in case of SC/ST). Original Copy is required to be produced at the time of commencement of theprogramme.
  5. Certificate of passing the qualifying examination from the appropriate authority of school/junior college. If the results of StdXII examination are not declared, a Certificate from the School/College/Institution from where the candidate has appeared for the exam to the effect that the candidate has appeared for the exam and that the result for the same has not been declared, has to be provided.Such a candidate is required to produce the Marks Statement of StdXII Examination within 10 days of the declaration of the results and in any case not later than 31st August, 2014. If a candidate fails to produce Marks Statement by such time, his/her admission to the programme is liable to be cancelled without any prior notice.
  6. Gap certificate required in case there is a gap of one or more years between passing of the qualifying examination and admission to BBA. (Not required ifthe candidate has necessary documentary evidence of how the time was spent).
  7. Change of name, if any, supported by documentary evidence like Government Gazette.
  8. Certificate showing Blood Group (Required for Identity Card).
