The Avon Club was founded in 1944 by women within our community to aid in the war effort by rolling bandages, knitting sweaters, and keeping correspondence with men serving abroad during World War II. After the war, the club's focus shifted to promote civic participation for the betterment of the community locally. If you had the ability to change your community in a positive way, what specific changes would you make? How would you use your strengths and experiences to most effectively enact and garner support for your ideas?
