AUTO-LIFTER ARRESTED BY EAST DISTRICT POLICE
East District police has arrested auto-lifter namely Virendra Yadav s/o Chhidda Yadav r/o Village Misalgarhi, P.O. Dasna, P.S. Massouri, District Ghazi bad, U.P. (age 26 years) and recovered five motorcycles at his instance.
INCIDENT
On receipt of secret information, a team comprising of S.I. Arun Kumar, HC Charan Dass, Ct. Satender, Ct. Mehak Singh, Ct. Satender, Ct. Om Dutt and Ct. Satbir Singh led by Insp. Subhash Thukral, SHO/New Ashok Nagar was constituted. On 2.4.2008 the team laid a trap near Mulla Colony and nabbed Virendra Yadav with a stolen motorcycle No.DL-5SZ-2535 which was stolen by him from the area of Mayur Vihar Phase-III, New Ashok Nagar on 12.3.2008.

DESPERATE WANTED CRIMINAL ARRESTED
East District police has arrested one dreaded criminal namely Sonu @ Baba s/o Late Surajbhan r/o Village Riwazpur, P.S. Bhopali, District Faridabad, Haryana (age 22 years) and solved three cases of extortion and attempt to murder.
INCIDENT
On 2.4.2008, HC Rishipal Singh, No.606/ND was on patrolling duty alongwith HC Munender Singh and Ct. Ajay Kumar in the area of P.S. Shakarpur. Ct. Ajay Kumar received secret information that one rewarded accused of Haryana was present near bus stand LalitaPark, Laxmi Nagar waiting for his associates to materialize some criminal plan. Acting on the information, HC Rishipal alongiwth other staff laid a trap at bus stand LalitaPark and on the instance of informer apprehended the accused later identified as Sonu @ Baba. One loaded katta .315 bore with live cartridge was recovered from his possession.
A case vide FIR No.213 dated 2.4.2008 u/s 25/54/59 Arms Act has been registered at P.S. Shakarpur and accused arrested.
INTERROGATION
The accused was put to sustained interrogation during which he disclosed that he was born on 6.5.1985 at Village Riwazpur, P.S. Bhopali, District Faridabad, Haryana. His father Sh. Surajbhan was supervisor with M/s Escort Limited, Faridabad and took retirement in the year 1997 due to illness. His two s elder brothers are working in Village Rewazpur. He got education upto 12th class from Govt. Sr. Sec.School, Village Jharsa, Gurgaon in the year 2004. After education, he remained employed with HDFC Bank as recovery agent for a year. Thereafter, worked as Sales Executive of Disc T.V. with Zee Network, Sector-16, Noida Film Industry. In the year 2007, he came in contact with Rajesh @ Fauzi through his friend Ravi. Rajesh was the member of Sube Gang who used to extort money from the owners of Crasher Zone near Manesar and joined the Sube Gang. In September, 2007 he alongwith Harbir fired upon Virender Singh, a cresher owner of Manesar to extort money. Later on he alongiwth Rajesh @ Fauzi and thereafter alongwith Deepak also fired upon different cresher owners to extort money. 3/4 days before Deepawali in the year 2007, he alongwith Harbir fired upon the wife of dreaded gangster Chhainu in village Ruppa Naharpur and injured her. It is also learnt that Haryana Govt. declared a reward of Rs.25,000/- for apprehending the accused Sonu @ Baba.

RACKET OF PIRATED CDs/DVDs SUPPLIERS BUSTED & 3723 CDs/DVDs RECOVERED.
There were complaints of sale of pirated/pornographic DVDs/VCDs in Palika Bazar, Connaught Place. A special team consisting of SI M.P. Saini, SI Karambir Malik, Ct. Mohan Lal, No. 1443/ND, Ct. Subhash No. 518/ND. Ct. Girish No. 564/ND, Ct. Jitender No. 800/ND and Ct. Bhagirath No. 1175/ND was formed under Inspr. H.C. Verma, SHO/Connaught Place and supervision of Sh. Vijay Singh, IPS, ACP/Cannaught Place. A raid was conducted and a gang of interstate piracy was busted. Total 3723CDs/DVDs/MP3 were recovered.
On 29.3.08 on the receipt of secret information, a raid was conducted at Shop No. 183 Palika Bazar and 1645 pirated DVDs/VCDs of Hindi and English movies along with religious serials were recovered from the shopkeeper Dinesh Kapoor S/o Jagdish R/o 2/131, Geeta Colony, Delhi. The shopkeeper was arrested in case FIR No. 145/08 u/s 52-A/63/68A C.R. Act.
During interrogation he disclosed the main supplier of these DVDs/VCDs. Immediately a raiding party was formed and a raid was conducted at E-1/12, Main Market, Inderpuri, Delhi and 1078 pirated DVDs, VCDs, MP-3, obscene DVDs and cartoon Films were recovered from the possession of Vinod Kaushik S/o Rameshwar Kaushik R/o WZ-146, Deshghara Village, Todapur, Inderpuri. One CD writer was also recovered from the possession of Vinod Kaushik. At his instance further raids were conducted at A-Block, Connaught Place, New Delhi and led to the arrest of Chandresh Tiwari S/o Satya Prasad Tiwari R/o RZF-329-A, Raj Nagar –II, Palam Colony, New Delhi, who had come to supply the pirated DVDs to the shopkeepers of Palika Bazar. He was caught red handed along with his associates namely Saurab Juneja S/o Satish Juneja R/o H.No. 500, Saraswati Vihar, Village Chhakar Pur, Gurgoan (HR) and Pardeep Kumar S/o Harsha Ram R/o HNo. B-2/504, Raghubir Nagar, Delhi. In this raid 1000 DVDs of Hindi Film :ONE TWO THREE” were recovered from their possession. The recovered pirated DVDs were received by the accused persons through a Courier Agency namely Speed King Forwarders from Kolkata for its distribution to shopkeepers of Palika Bazar and other places in Delhi.
The vehicle Maruti Van No. DL-2C-Z-3128 and M/Cycle No. HR-26-AE-9127 used for supplying the pirated material were seized and all the three accused persons were arrested vide case FIR No. 149/08 u/s 52-A/63/68A C.R. Act. Two of accused are on two days police remand and further raids will be conducted as the police get the lead about the persons involved in the racket. The action taken by Connaught Place police is part of the drive against the illegal sale of obscene/pirated material in Palika Bazar.
