AUTHOR’SPERMISSIONS TRACKER (UK)

  • Please remember that inclusion of 3rd party content in your work can cause considerable delay to publication and can be expensive. We can only include such content if you have discussed it with your editorial contact in advance of submission of your manuscript and you are able to obtain permission which covers all of the required rights listed overleaf, which you may find difficult/costly.
  • Do consider limiting use of any 3rd party content to that which is comfortably covered copyright exceptions. You will find more information about our requirements in relation to use of content under copyright exceptions in the Copyright Section of the Using 3rd Party Material in Your Manuscript page on our website). In the event that you do include 3rd party content under copyright exceptions, please note this on the Tracker below.
  • If permissions clearance is required (and has been agreed with your editorial contact), please use our Global Permissions Letters (available in the Useful Tools section of the Using 3rd Party Material in Your Manuscript page on our website) to make your application as these cover all of the required rights.
  • Please use this Tracker to identify the items for which permission has been sought and obtained. Submit this Tracker with your manuscript, along with copies of all permissions granted (please do include printed and dated terms and conditions which may be applicable to items you have used from websites or under creative commons licenses or author retained rights polices etc. even if there was no need for a formal permission application).
