JJ Legacy - $6000 full pens time event cattle. Includes grain
Arlan Brooks - $6000 for full pens
Jeff Belkham - $6250 for full pens
JD Bubel - $2,250 each Go round for a total of 2 go rounds @ 15 runs per event for a total of $4,500. We will bring 16 head of cattle for each event, however, due to the fact we have another finals rodeo at the same time, we can’t guarantee that we would have two sets of Tie Down calves as we don’t foresee ordering another batch of calves for the rest of the season. We do have many calves to pick from and feel we would be able to accommodate, but reserve the right to only bring one set of tie down calves and would notify MRA 2 weeks prior to the finals if only one set would be available. $800 trucking MRA to provide a motel room for Thursday, Friday & Saturday night. Hay & Water to be provided along with people to feed & sort cattle before and during the performances with contractor. Total of $5,300. Plus hotel.
Jojo reviewed all timed event cattle bids with the board. Jojo asked for discussion, Brad reports he would like to support the contractors who support the MRA all year long, which means he is suggesting we throw out JD and Jeff’s bids but to this fact.

Brad suggested we vote by each director, Jojo asked for any discussion on the remaining 2 bids.
By a vote by each director on the call it was 11 votes to 7 votes in favor of JJ Legacy Cattle. JJ Legacy will bring timed event cattle to the finals for $6000, full pens.

Jill Sundell / Review awards per event that has been requested – reviewed all awards and each director approved the awards list to be ordered and covered by their event.
Which finals staff will get MRA paid Jackets and Buckles?
Last year the MRA covered jackets and buckles for some of the paid finals staff. Scott also asked if he could get a jacket too. Brad was in favor of this as well. Jojo also feels the President and Vice President would get a jacket. Which means there is 10 jackets being covered by the MRA. Pickup men and bull fighters have buckles paid by certain events. The question is, does the MRA want to pay for judges and secretary buckles as well. This is in the budget for 10 jackets and 4 buckles.

Jojo suggested Western Wishes of MN or Le Mar Ranch. Alicia reports she was asked to suggest we donate to a veterans rehab, but Alicia reports she researched that and could not find anything as far as a horse related veteran non profit. We do not need to give to one organization, we can give to 2 different places.
Brad made motion we donate the raffle profits to both Le Mar Ranch and Western Wishes, it will be split evenly between the two/Scott 2nd it. Motion carried.
Jojo will send contact info to Jill Scott to make contact with both agencies to see if they can come to the finals to accept their money.

5. The rodeo secretary can accept entries from anyone with a valid MRA card.
Upon arrival at the rodeo, member is required to pay all fees due for competition inthe rodeo. All fees must be paid before competing.
Change to – Page 17, #5 under Rodeo Entry 5.
Upon arrival at the rodeo, contestant fees are required to be paid in full to the rodeo secretary before competing. If contestant competes before paying fee’s that contestant will receive a no time for that event.
This rule has been posted on website since last meeting, need to vote it into the rulebook.

Jill Scott will take the top 25 in each event and mail a reminder post card out after Clearwater results are posted.

This is a Friday, that would be 1 week before finals, and would give Heidi enough time to get all results finalized before call ins.

Bid for announcer at Finals:
Wade Grinager - $2000 for both days, he will supply speakers – include Jacket/Buckle also, total bid 2230.00.
Terri Grinager – Sound/Music – work with Wade Grinager - $500
Davie Kimm - $3000, includes his wife for music. Wants a 50 amp RV hookup or + $50 per day for generator.
Jesse Knutson- $1000 for Music Director for both days ($500 per performance) and 2 night’s hotel.
OR $1200 total, he would get his own hotel.
If Jesse is voted in, Wade’s bid will go down $500, because he would not need to bring his speakers.

Kenny reports he talked with Jesse a while back and Jesse would like to work with Wade as per a conversation they had.
Kenny MM to approve Jesse K work with Wade G/Jill Sundell 2nd it. Motion carried. Wade will announce for $1500 plus jacket and buckle, and Jesse will be $1000 plus hotel for $200. Alicia will check hotel prices.

Jesse Larson - $1700.00 for both nights plus a buckle ($135) – includes two acts a night, plus walk and talk, also needs a 110 plug in ($55) – Total $1890.00
Ryan Mead – total Approx $1460 - 1 sloan Saddle (approx. $1225) – trophy saddle, 1 trophy buckle ($135), 1 finals jacket ($100)
Dalton Morris - $2000 for both nights, buckle ($135) and ($100) jacket – total $2235.00
Adam Carlson - $800 for the weekend plus a Jacket and Buckle, total $1035.00

Jojo reports people have suggested we set a budget and hire them/invite them to come work for out price and not take bids. Scott also agrees we should do this next year.
Arena Bid- $3000 for arena, MRA will also ay Scott $250 for back pen/rough stock help.
Matt MM we accept Scott’s arena bid/Jill Sundell 2nd it. Motion carried.
Voting for finals staff:Review list of names on ballot – send out for email voting
Who votes for what as far as pick up men/bull fighters? It was discussed each director can decide if they are knowledgeable enough to vote for bull fighter and pick up men, if they are not, they do not need to vote, if they feel they know and have paid attention enough they can vote. Scott asked if there is a tie, would we know who is voteing on what, and I will as it is via email, but the Vice Pres is the tie breaker.
Do we need 3 judges or 2? Brad feels we do not need 3, 2 is enough. There was no further discussion on this. We will have 2 judges at the finals.
Old Business / All / Rulebooks – should I wait to print and hand out at Henderson Rodeo 2016? Or print for finals, but there may be changes in rules right away?
Dru feels we wait until after the finals and we can print and hand out at first rodeo in 2017. Cullen agrees.
