The AUCD Sexual Health SIG page will link to the Wyoming Institute for Disabilities(WIND’s) Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) Project’s Resource page ( The Sexual Health SIG page will have links to the SIG’s quarterly meeting minutes and archived webinars

Sexual Health Webinar Planning

  • July: Sexual Health Curricula
  • Friendships & Dating Program
  • After presentation ask attendees about other sexual health curricula for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (PEERS at UCLA, Planned Parenthood curriculum, STARS)
  • If there is a panel of speakers the SIG should schedule an hour and a half webinar
  • August: Supported Decision Making
  • Look for speakers at: National Disability Rights Network or Public Health Law Center
  • Follow NCD proposal about guardianship and supported decision making
  • Continuing Education Credits (CEU’s)
  • Avoid targeting practitioner group but provide attendees with a certificate of attendance
  • AUCD can help generate electronic certificates of attendance. For AUCD to generate certificates, AUCD must be provided with the presenter’s bio, an abstract/description of the webinar, learning objectives (at least three and have to be action items), and resumes
  • Certificates of attendance will be available upon request but will works towards be provided to all attendees
  • In order to receive a certificate, individuals must complete the evaluation at the end of the webinar
  • Julie Atkinson and Canyon Hardesty will assist with the evaluation form that will allow individuals to receive their certificate

  • Send possible webinar dates to Tanisha Clarke

Future Meetings

  • Send out Doodle Poll for August quarterly meeting (proposed times will be considerate of different time zones) with May’s meeting minutes attached
  • Quarterly meeting in October to prep for AUCD
  • AUCD December 2016
  • The SIG will meet before AUCD to talk about the goals of the SIG and identify a long term goal
  • Provide Zoom link for SIG members who cannot attend AUCD
  • At AUCD the SIG will use this time to identify deliverables, potential webinar topics, vote on leadership, and build listserv participation
