Equipment, Building, Roads/Ditch Work & Materials

A few repairs have been done throughout the Road District since last meeting.

·  The south entranceway on the building has been repaired. The door motor and remote will be repaired when it warms up outside.

·  Bids for the gas/oil separator and the bathroom are being taken. It is required by state code to have this work done by licensed plumber. A Sangamon County Inspector has seen the township facility and has given details for proper installation. The gas/oil separator cost will be in the 07-08 Road District.

·  The strobe power box on the 2000 GMC needed to be replaced and a request was made for the manufacture to inspect the problem to see is a warranty on covering the cost.

·  Two snowplow blades needed to be replaced on the 1999 tandem. They are always doubled up to prevent excessive ware and prevent damage to a thinner single blade.

·  A cutting blade on the backhoe was ordered.

·  A small spacer heater was purchased for the old office and will reflect on next months billing.

·  The tower has been erected and will be in working order next month. There have been a few rental payment received at this point.

·  The Non MFT rock letting for the C16 has came in at almost a dollar higher this year from last year.

·  The Certified Laboratory’s lubricant/die for the transmission/hydraulic fluid has been sent back. The funds spent will be reimbursed. After reading the label on this product and a discussion with the John-deer manufacturers I decided to make a different selection for a die to help determine leaks on the equipment. A blue light will be purchased to detect leaks with the die purchased with Napa. It is a significant saving using Napa’s die that cost $5.00 per unit (equipment).

·  A ditch on King Road has been graded to retain the field’s dirt out on the ditches.

·  All rock roads have been graded and will been replenished with CA6 in the areas needed.

·  When the ground thaws culverts are planned to be replaced in several locations.
