Position title:Channel Delivery Logistics Coordinator

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

The main purpose of this position is to organise, oversee and support a range of activitiesthatare undertaken by the Channel Delivery team. Channel Delivery is part ofthe Industry Research and knowledge dissemination group.

The position is responsible for logistics (print production, distribution and cloud-based events management), data entry and maintenance of the database forBuild magazine advertisements (magazine and Build online) and associated customer service activities.

The Channel Delivery Logistics Co-ordinator will work closely with the Channel Delivery team, Accounts and Marketing to ensure that the range of BRANZ Channel Delivery product supportservices function efficiently.

KEY RESULT AREAS
Logistics
  • Management of and obtaining quotes for printing and distribution of publications.
  • Negotiating with suppliers as required to place print jobs, including reprints, offering the best combination of price, service and delivery.
  • Strong relationship management skills required. Ongoing supplier relationship management with preferred suppliers such as Printlink, SDS Online, NZ Print and Arlo (learning and management system) to ensure win/win outcomes for allparties.
  • Work with external service provider SDS Onlineto ensure efficient processes are in place – includes storage, distribution and ongoing day-to-day sales.
  • Management of stock obsolescence and write-off.
  • Organise and oversee full stocktake at distribution warehouse. Provide the Channel Delivery Team Leader with updated stock write down sheets, obtain and collate figures and provide Accounts with reports.
  • Order management for key customers such as the BCITO.
  • Liaise with Marketing, the Build advertising consultant and the BuildEditor to organise distribution lists for the external printer for Build magazine.
  • Liaison and management of external registration system for BRANZ seminars and eLearning.
  • Keep abreast of technology changes and continually look for innovations in print, distribution, stock management and service delivery.

Customer service

  • Follow up delivery of advertisements for Build magazine as required
  • Seminar and eLearning customer support as required.
  • Customer/SDS online stock availability queries and book sale issues.

Administration

  • Co-ordination of analytical data from web resources and tools, seminar evaluations, Buildreadership surveys to provide an overall view of the usefulness and take-up of BRANZ information.
  • Co-ordination of the invoicing from all external suppliers which is recorded andmatched against budget expectations.

Advertising

  • Build advertising – data entry to update advertising workspace with additions, deletions and changes.

  • % of supporting functions carried out efficiently and on time each month.
  • % number of efficiencies identified
  • % of reporting requirements completed on time.
  • % no complaints for internal and external customer service.
BRANZ OPERATIONAL MANAGEMENT
To be part of the Channel Delivery team:

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS RELEVANT TO THE ROLE
Educational requirements
  • Relevant tertiary qualification or a minimum of university entrance is required.
  • Minimum 5 years relevant work experience required
Role-specific core competencies
  • Time management – ensures all tasks are completed in a timely manner.
  • Advertising workspace –ensure the booking of advertisements is accurate and up to date
  • Logistics –stock and cost managementandnegotiation with suppliers.
  • Customer service –assist internal and external customers as required.

  • Logistics experience would be an advantage
  • A high level of administration ability and experience.
  • Able to work with staff with varied skill sets to meet customer needs.

  • Must be proficient in Excel
