MARS is the wholesale rating and billing system for interconnect calls which are passed between Telstra and other carriers such as OPTUS, VODAFONE etc. MARS calculates the Access Charges payable by other carriers to Telstra for provision of this Service. MARS also calculates the Access Charges to reconcile against other carrier invoices to Telstra.

MARS is the system that currently performs Interconnect Rating for Telstra. The rated information is then passed to Flexcab on a monthly basis to create a bill to be distributed to other Carriers.
