AUGUST 5 THRESHING SHOW WORSHIP- All are invited to 8:30 am Sunday worship at the Threshing Show in Hanley Falls. Worship will be outdoors on the museum grounds (weather permitting), with music led by members of HWP's Country Gospel Band & Elmo Volstad. No worship at HWP churches; Communion Sunday on August 12.
COUNTRY GOSPEL CONTINUES THROUGH AUGUST- We're half-way through this summer's Country Gospel season. Have you made a point to join the fun yet? 7:30pm Wednesdays at Augustana Lutheran in Clarkfield, followed by coffee fellowship.
Attendance has been in the 60s, but there's plenty of room for more!
OPEN YOUR HEART CHALLENGEis a Hunger Solutions Minnesota project offering challenge funds to area food shelves. The proportional grants range from $100 - $4,000. The YMC food shelf needs to raise at least $100 in the month of July to be eligible. If you’ve been considering a donation to the food shelf, July would be a great time to do it! PARISH AGREEMENT REVISIONS– The HWP council voted in May on extensive revisions to the Parish Agreement. A summary of the changes and the text of the agreement with revisions are available in the Mid-July/August edition of the newsletter. All five congregations will vote on the revisions at congregational meetings scheduled for Sunday, September 16. Be sure to review the materials and contact HWP council members or your congregational council members with questions or concerns.
