  1. Review/Approval of EC Minutes
  1. Carin: Parking lot issue in Tukwila for filing stays after 3 pm (ICE)/Raphael Sanchez would like us to write a letter to support the parking lot extended hours. Erin Hall is working on this.
  1. Shannon Underwood is working on a letter to Mr. Sanchez about social workers.
  1. 2 seats are reserved for AILA at the meeting on Friday 3/21 at 10am about the hunger strike. There are issues that they can fix and issues that they cannot fix. Need to discuss. Michelle and Shannon to attend.
  1. Treasurer Report (Greg)

a.)Going forward, the Treasurer will post treasurer’s report with bank statements on website. Will redact account information. Will be posted with minutes.

b)Increase Budget for National Day of Action – rejected. $4,500 currently budgeted. Bd of Governors will be paid by AILA National. If committee wants an increase, they must submit a proposal.

c)Website/message center update: Tech committee (Greg McLawsen, Greg Boos, Jay Gairson, Brandon Gillin) is creating an SOW to be sent to the Chapter for review by April 1. Will seek comments and then will send it out to all vendors. Submissions will be considered individually with no special preference for members.

a)Program for new lawyers – starting your own firm – how to run a successful immigration practice. To be held April 10 on the 26th Floor of the 1201 Third Avenue building, 4-6pm with pizza and beer. How to start a new firm, how to get paid, how to gain a foundation.

  1. Committee updates – Carin is updating notes from Committee Chairs meeting. Amicus is sending letters to pro bono organizations. Pro Bono will send announcement to listserv about pro bono awards; only 2 members made a pro bono pledge. Citizenship Day is recruiting members for the April 26 event. PR Committee is working on the consumer protection act.
  1. Newsletter – Lisa waiting for committee minutes.
  1. Chapter Elections – nominations due April 1. Ballots to chapter April 4. Michelle must determine election judges for Annual Dinner.
  1. Last EC meeting – Wednesday, April 16, 2014 – noon – 1:30 pm. This is primarily a DONATION meeting. [By later email, date changed to April 23]
